Its a little early to be making sweeping generalizations about the trade

Now now, I remember there were times when he scored on Grudens favorite, "Spider 2 Y Banana"!

I'm sure Graham does nothing for their run game, but Seattle lost two other starting lineman besides Unger and did the ole Mike Smith "oh they are good enough" method and made backups starters. Their offensive line makes Atlanta's look like Pro Bowlers.

By mid season Brandon Coleman in the red zone will make us forget about Jimmy

I love football but sometimes fans and media make it down right comical. To say Graham is "ruining their run game" after 1, I repeat 1/ONE game is ridiculous. To be fair I was then and still am in support of the trade. I also believe we did come out ahead on the trade, and that we will continue to reap the benefits as Stephone Anthony gets better & better. I would say at a minimum it takes 3-4 games to really be able to gauge a team and see their trends and be close to stating what they can & can't do as fact.

Someone asked "how has Unger helped our running game", and others mentioned our "red zone and lack of scoring", well if Unger wasn't on this team I wonder if we would have even been able to make it to the red zone 4 times last week. We were able to convert a few 3rd & shorts last week, against a good D, by running directly behind Unger which is exactly what we could not do the last 2 years. Now it is true that we failed to get TD's in the redzone, and that is where Jimmy made his living, so now it is up Payton to adapt and adjust to the personnel he now has!

Unger hasn't really been a difference maker on our OL either

Shirley you were joking when you wrote this. The time Brees had to throw (not that the throws were there) was at least twice as long on average compared to last year. It was a beautiful sight.

We actually both lost if we're looking at a standpoint from last year.

Seattle's OL and run game became worse.

New Orleans OL became better, but we can't score.

But honestly, what is harder to find? An All-Pro TE/Pro Bowl WR or an All-Pro Center

Only 3 teams scored more than 20 on ARI last year. Let's wait a few weeks to determine that we can't score.

Didn't say anything about his influence in the red zone. I only said he isn't a TD threat outside of the five (though really it may be outside the seven so I sold him two yards short).

My original comment you wanted to argue about.

but we do miss his presence in red zone

So we couldn't have improved the offensive line without trading Jimmy?

Perhaps. But our center position is upgraded. MLB coverage skills are upgraded. Jimmy is still a top red zone target. seattle's o-line is worse than last year and Jimmy still can't block. Generally speaking

How many yards did we rush for last week? The running game was a fail.

We rushed for 54 yards against the greatest defense in the history of the NFL, apparently.

And my original comment, which was not in response to you but the many people saying that we miss his scoring in the red zone, was that he scored goal line tds, not red zone as a whole tds.

We can get into semantics but you responded to me when I wasn't talking to you.

Semantics my dick

15 yd TD

9 yd TD

11 yd TD

There's 6's and 7's and all kinds of numbers outside of a 2-3 yd goaline situation
