"Home" is a stupid reason for a player to go somewhere with other options on the table.

You may think that and I may think that, but all that matters is what Watson thinks. It is concerning that he is waiting to meet with them before making a decision. He has to have a high level of interest to keep the Saints and Panthers waiting for 3 days.

Nothing to see here. Falcons have to at least make a half-hearted attempt to appease the fanbase, however the shite doesn't add up in their favor. It's a PR stunt

As mentioned in the other thread, Armstead's contract goes 13 mill in dead money once 3 today hits if we haven't agreed to an extension. So there's a deadline for the Saints.

If we don’t here anything this morning, this will be the key domino to fall this afternoon. If Armstead stays I think it’s us, if he goes don’t count on Watson coming here.

But if you don't have a QB you don't have a chance. So I understand them shooting for it, especially with him seeming interested.

I definitely get the appeal for the Falcons. I just hope Watson look sat the recent history of the Falcons. They have put shitty oline after shitty oline out there for 12 of Ryan's 14 years; then they keep investing in these new shiny toys. Why should he think they will do any different once he is there?

Yes he should be required to make a decision about his future within 24 hours. Look, I wish he would have said yes to the Saints yesterday, but it's not unreasonable for someone to want to weigh all of their options.

Can we trade Houston for Matt Ryan when Watson eventually goes to ATL?

I am not a big fan of Ryan, but that would be epic. Especially if he gets a ring with the Saints

Why would they piss off Ryan just for a PR stunt? They have to have an offer that is acceptable to the Texans to even meet with Watson. This is not a PR stunt.

I don’t see how they manage this with Ryan’s cap hit. Doesn’t seem even remotely realistic for them.

Any owner with deep pockets (Like Blank) can make it work. Convert salary to bonuses and keep kicking the can, they can make it work.

It's not posturing. The Texans have accepted both Saints and Falcons offers.

Is this new?

The last report I saw stated Houston had accepted offers from the Saints, Panthers and Browns.
