My exact reaction. The falcons are really going to pull this off and ruin his career and their franchise even more aren’t they?
Eta: they seriously shouldn’t even be considering this but they actually are. This move sets then back another 4 or 5 years especially without Ridley and Gage.

I'd be fine with that.

I’d much rather the Saints pull this off. Is a second meeting possible?

Even if the Falcons get Watson I would put the Saints above them in the division.
They have zero weapons, below average line, average defense, and will have no picks for the future.
If Watson goes to Atlanta, he truly was not choosing based on trying to win now.

You know Texans would love Atlanta. Higher pick this year and years to come. I think they'll be pushing this deal

If Watson picks ATL the ONLY reason would be because he’s playing for his hometown team. If he wants to win and win now, the Saints are his best option. I don’t think it’s even particularly close with any of the teams from a win now stand point. No other team has the weapons we have on offense, consistently one of the best O lines in the league every year, and the defense is one of the best in the league.
It wouldn’t shock me one bit if he goes to ATL, because you can’t blame a man for wanting to go home. But if winning is everything, it should be an easy decision.

As much as it would suck, this made me laugh...
He's his own source?

Would be idiotic on Watson's part to go to Atlanta

Watson hates the Texans so I doubt he cares what they’re pushing

I call him immediately and say look we need a decision. If you take the meeting then we will have to walk. We have given you plenty of time. Won’t be popular but we need an answer at this point. I mean where is he going to go meet with next. He either wants to be here or not.

I wonder if it is as trivial as him growing up a Falcons fan and he and his family can’t see him playing for a division rival they grew up rooting against.

I really think we are the team, but something's telling me, it will fall apart

We gave him 2 days. Thats not much for plenty of time. The Saints absolutely should not pressure Watson like that.

I just don't see how the Falcons would pull it off.
man I was hoping this saga would end early today
