I see more smoke of “Watson to NO” from more reputable sources.

2nd and 3rd link is a random Twitter account with 5,000 followers.
Scrolling through his posts and half of them are him retweeting people. Many of his contributions are him saying actual reports should credit him and claim he's breaking the news they are reporting.
Did find this interesting on his page:
quote:
BREAKING: Per Source, UFA #Saints QB Jameis Winston wants to return to New Orleans, but if the Saints swing a trade for Deshaun Watson, Winston has fielded competitive offers from a number of teams, including the #Texans, #Panthers, and #Lions
Looks like Winston gets it and plans to try to come back. But, if not he'll be heading to Houston, Carolina or Detroit.

This post is beyond funny. He may end up in Atlanta but Atlanta does not have a great deal of salary cap available. To be honest, they likely would have Deshaun Watson and nothing else. Given the hit they would receive from Matty Ice (who also has a no trade clause in his contract) would be an insane move.
If I were their General Manager, there is no way I would make a trade like this. Atlanta would be cash strapped and would not have means to acquire cheap talent (draft picks) . Also, Houston would likely take young core players like Kyle Pitts among others.
Atlanta isn't structured like the Rams, Saints or Cleveland whom one additional piece would make the difference from being a good team to a great team. Such rhetoric is purely nonsense. I would worry about the likes of Cleveland if I were you.

McAfee is basing that on literally nothing

They are also going to get a horrid return on Ryan too if this happens. They will have no leverage in trading him since they have to for it to work with Watson coming in.
Teams will lowball the hell out of them.

People need to stop underestimating how popular the city of Atlanta is with black people. I don't fully understand it, but it is a fact. They love it. It does not surprise me that if he could just pick whatever city he'd like (which he is in a unique position to do), that Atlanta would top the list.

I dont know who this guy is but this tweet made me laugh
"Deshaun Watson has left out of the meeting, leaving agent behind after #Falcons owner Arthur blank attempted to start meeting off with playing Atlanta’s rap group the “Migos” & how the owner could relate to The QB’s recent struggles"
Some people have vouched for this account

I feel bad for Jameis because he’s been nothing but loyal and enthusiastic but Watson is by far an upgrade.

Is he so out of touch that he thinks this kind of pandering helps? May not hurt w some people, but there are a lot that would instantly be turned off by it.

You would think only Watson could be the source on this

Looks like Falcons may have taken the lead on landing Watson
How is this possible? Isn't Matt Ryan a $50 mil cap hit if he is traded or released?
