Latt hasn’t been right since he basically shut it down in ‘23 to spite DA. Shame because he was as good as they come. The type of CB we dreamed of in those early Payton years of Fred Thomas and Jason David.

Def hate that Mahomes isn’t on this team but he def isn’t just hitting his stride. Mahomes seems to be declining a bit if we’re being honest with ourselves.

He has no receivers. He’s got a good 5 years left of top 7 QBs in the league.

He’s had a HOF TE for the last 3 years, Rice has been a big surprise for them when healthy, another first round receiver in Worthy.

Great qbs are great regardless of the weapons. Josh Allen won the mvp with nothing at receiver. Mahomes’ numbers have been very mediocre the last 3 years. He’s an elite qb and still probably the best qb in the league but, he’s not ascending and he seems to be regressing. Those aren’t opinions, those are facts.

He runs with known gang bangers during the offseason and smokes more than he trains. He is an awful teammate and past his prime. Let Atlanta overpay for him.

Correct. He is less of the best QB in the league.

That was a hell of a trade by the Saints.

That is how Loomis should have been managing the roster all along. Get a couple peak years out of stars and then trade them before the decline begins. Sure you may get rid of a player a couple years early but you pick up a younger player a.couple years early as well.

Basically what happened with Sproles

Have not been as successful with this part in the past. Although, nailing Sanker, Riley & Neal goes a long way to show you are righting the ship

Well it was all win now in the Glory Years.
The biggest mistake in twenty years by Loomis was playing it safe in the DA hire.

And Mahomes.

If Sean doesn't get antsy and call Mahomes to let him know they are planning to take him, Mahomes doesn't call Andy (or was it Nagy).

Did recently see an interview where Sean admitted he had Mahomes & Latt in the same grouping (the way they rank draft picks), and their plan was to take Mahomes if both fell to 11, but they were not overly aggressive because they had a really high rating on Lattimore too. Leave it to the Saints to be right, but also 100% wrong at the same time.

If it wasn't so sad, it would be hysterical. How are you overly aggressive with your roster, draft picks, cap space..., but you take "the safe" pick with your HC?

Loomis did the opposite. We lost our good players going into their prime and replaced them with aging vets that were a little bit cheaper. Like Honey Badger and Marcus Maye.
