Picks. Numerous picks, not just a pick.
And they didn't give up those picks to get Penning. They gave up those picks to position themselves in the draft to move up even further, which they sort of did. They couldn't move to where they wanted, but they did wind up moving some to grab Olave.
I believe you only give up what the Saints did to grab a QB. Other than that it's too much to pass along nearly an entire draft of picks for a single player. WRs are still plentiful and easily found, so it's a position that really doesn't justify overspending.

This is all hindsight. But Pickens had HUGE question marks.
That being said, as much as I like olave... He's gotta be all pro caliber to say it was worth it

Means nothing in the grand scheme without a QB, just like Olave.
If the moves work out, we will have re-solidified the O-Line, and have an elite WR... waiting to plug in a QB.
We didn't draft Brees, the Packers didn't draft Favre. There are going to be QBs available.

If you want to feel better about the Philly trade, consider this... we're going to suck next year too, so it's likely we'll be right back in the top 5.

Absolutely. If we can manage to get the pick into the teens I'll be fine but if it's in the top 5 it'll suck a big fat dick.
