Was penning over Pickett a mistake?

Pickett looks good to me

Too early to tell.
He’s got 4 Ints, 2 TDs and and 1 concussion.
Penning hasn’t played yet.
They both have a lot to prove.

I think we had already signed Jameis and Dalton before the draft.
and course Taysom as the all-time Swiss army knife on the roster.

Penning becomes all pro LT than giving up pick to Philly was worth it.

Hold our water in the 1st and just take Penning, take Pickens in the 2nd and keep all the picks

Doesn't look very good to me. And I wanted us to get him. Based off his performance so far, passing on him was the correct decision. But I don't think they should be playing him this season. He ain't ready yet. We'll see in about 2 years.

that was a very weak draft when it came to high-end QB talent

This is the correct answer.

He made a great throw on 4th to Freiermuth but those two picks were awful

Yeah those picks sucked but those were young qb throws I guess

There will always be a would of could of..
I think Penning and Olave will be stars.
Unfortunately, all of the kicking player costs cans down the road will frick us.

Means nothing in the grand scheme without a QB, just like Olave.

Penning hasn't play yet. So another wasted pick but on a guy that cannot even get on the field and right to start his career.

Speaking of Penning, when is he due back?
Posted on 10/24/22 at 9:18 am to LSUAlum2001
I think the end of November or beginning of December?

Speculation was mid-November depending on rehab schedule

I said this same exact thing in the draft threads. The draft was super deep at wr and Pickens has a chance to be the best receiver out of the draft.
No reason to give up what we did even though Olave has been very good.
