Was Letting Go Of Klint Kubiak A Mistake?

The closest the Saints offense looked to the 2011 form was last year during the two game stretch. Since then, injuries have depleted the team and in comes unproven Doug Nussmeier.
Kubiak is now offensive coordinator with the Seahawks and may have one of the best offenses in the NFC West with Sam Darnold as his QB. A massive upgrade from Derek Carr.

Doug Nussmeier is OC of Kellen Moores Saints exactly the way Pete Carmichael was OC of Sean Payton’s Saints.

You honestly think CKM was going to let another OC call plays???

Whole lot of reaching in just 3 short sentences.
My biggest knock on Kubiak was his inability to adjust in game and/or after halftime. We started out several games fine, then plateaued, then fell off the cliff. It was infuriating to watch.
Yes he had a ton of injuries to navigate through, a metric shite ton in fact so I do give him some grace for the season as a whole, but not being able to identify weak points in game and adapt was not directly tied to said injuries. I would have liked to have him for another year, but I also completely understand Moore wanting his own own OC to install and run his offense how he sees fit

No. He is arse. Couldn't make adjustments. I have no idea why people claim he was great because of 2 games.

No, new HC gets pick his staff.

We played two shitty teams that were playing extra shitty at that time. I’d view it more as an outlier than a missed opportunity.

Against 2 horrible defenses when we rolled out a new offense

Yeah I made it clear at the time that dallas struggles against Kyle Shanahan style offenses.

Right... Some of these posters straight tarded.

That Seahawks offense will be one of the worst in the league and will probably finish last in the division overall. You can't run off your 2 best offensive weapons and expect to be better.

The inability to make in-game adjustments is spot on. It was my biggest worry about his hiring in the first place. I spoke to several Minnesota fans that said he would have a great 1st quarter and then defenses would "figure" out what they were doing and shut them down the rest of the game.
Sean Payton, like him or not usually had the team play better as the game progressed to the 3rd and 4th quarters (offensively anyway).

The Italian QB was the best weapon on offense so I can agree there.

I am happy with the staff we have now.

How are we supposed to make an honest assessment when neither team has played a single down in the regular season, and that is before you compare the talent between the 2 teams.

His greatest strength. The man knew that defenses would look for tendencies from previous games, and then from within the games, to get any advantage. Therefore, he would run multiple plays from the same formations. It was also known that he used his first 20 scripted plays to set up what he was going to do later in the game. Never let a defense get comfortable

Let's pump the breaks on that Kubiak train.
Let's not forget he was not retained after 2 stints as OC. People forget about his Minnesota stint.
Also, people seem to be writing off KM based on preseason lol.

It was also a clause in his contract, if Allen got fired. KK would move on.
