Cousins has been a solid QB, good enough to win a playoff game and all. But you know Cousins will never get you over that hump to win a championship. That's kinda what Shough will likely be in his potential.

I mean you broke it down with tape and examples .. really studying the footwork and thier releases … the way they read defenses and thier progression at similar ages … I mean I’m super impressed and convinced by your deep analytical take and I just don’t see how anyone could disagree with you

Really the only thing that concerned me about Shough was his injury history.

I can get past the age thing if this dude is going to be able to really be the guy.

He seems like a really good solid teammate who doesn't want to let his fellow teammates down.

He comes off as a genuine guy who really has embraced this whole thing since the Saints drafted him.

It’s “likely the truth” for 99% of QBs

Some deep analysis here, bro

Something tells me if we can build a wall in front of him we will be in the hunt every year.

Horrible comparison. Cousins isn’t making that scramble and score TD run against Tampa. I agree Big Ben is the best comparison both big dudes who calmly scramble out of the pocket and make plays.

At this point we would still be lucky if his apex was Cousins' apex.

This is one of those conversations involving the overrating of Shough and the underrating of Cousins, I reckon.

And there it is. Pure idiocy never fails to reveal itself because idiots love to put it on full display in writing. Nice job!

I like the more mobile Ben Rothesliberger comparison. He just needs to learn to take a hit like Big Ben always did back in the day

You’re always such a wet fricking blanket. Shough may or may not be the guy but he’s played well enough to earn this comparison among others

We have absolutely no idea what he is long term. He’s shown some promise in his first handful of games on a bad team. That’s a reason for optimism. Josh Allen was horrible until he wasn’t, plenty of guys now playing at a top 10-15 level in the league seemed like early busts.

Ben was very mobile early in his career.

Kirk Cousins never really impressed me at the beginning of his NFL career as being very football intelligent.

There were a lot of boneheaded decisions early on by Cousins.

Shough appears to be ahead of the curve on Cousins when they first entered the NFL when it comes to football IQ.

Also, Shough is quite a bit bigger and athletic.

Too early for comparison, let him play at least a couple of seasons you may be surprised
