Damn son....well lets talk about him again

He will be 26 near the start of the season. Been in 3 programs and only had one productive season. He will get drafted but the upside is low because of age and lack of game experience.

Because he’s older, and a lot of organizations still think about Chris Weinke in situations like this (IMO).
I do think he’s talented, but playing well above the common college age could have contributed to his breakout.

He is the QB I would draft.later in the draft to devolope. His age isn't much of a concern because of the rules protecting the QB in the NFL. He could still have a 10+ year carerr in the NFL.
Tyler Shough was the QB who was supposed to be the replacement for Herbert at Oregon. Injuries sidelined him and he had to transfer.
He spent the last year at Louville as the starting QB under the Brohms tutorledge.
He is Daniel Jeremiah 3rd rated QB in this years draft. He is right there in Daniel's rankings with Dart. Jeremiah says teams like Giants and Browns may have Shough rated higher than Sanders as a NFL developmental prospect at QB.

He had a great season but teams are going to be scared by how old he is.
If he goes to a team that is ready to win NOW and is a good scheme fit...that could work.

i really think this matters none. if he's good enough to be a backup now/compete for a spot now, his maturity only helps. Who gives a shite if he can only play for 10 more years vs 13 more years.

Teams aren't picking QBs in the early party of the draft to compete for a spot on the team

Clearly said backup and compete for a spot. He's more NFL ready than a lot of the prospects and has a different level of athletic ability than most minus milroe.

It matters when assessing his play on the field
Justin Herbert, Tua, Hurts, Love all have 1998 birthdays. Shough is older than Bo Nix and Bryce young. Imagine those guys playing college at Shough’s age

yes, its way more important when we get to project ian book's growth in the saints organization. that always works out well.
just saying, Shough is either good enough or not good enough. Similar to many prospects. Very few have a label where growth will be important. Milroe is a great example of trying to project that growth. McCord and Ewers are more they are what they are already too.

I don’t care if the dude is 26 as long as he can play. Most NFL careers are short. If you get 5 prime QB years out of a player, that’s a win these days. I think drafting a player assuming you will get 12-15 prime years out of him is overly optimistic. If it took a two years to get a 26 year old QB ready to start at 28… then you went to the playoffs 3 or 4 out of five years after that… that’s worth the pick.

25 year old QB, playing against younger comp in a shite conference. Wasn’t partially good the four years prior at Oregon and TTU. Idk Chad
He’s 6’5” 220, probably looks great slinging it around the yard in shorts. I’m sure he has the knowledge to impress given his age and experience. I’m just wondering why it took his 7th year of college to become something

Awful injury history, been in college for about 8 years. I’d use a 5th on him if he was there.

Looks good. But as with all college kids can they make 3 reads in three seconds while climbing the pocket to avoid pressure and keeping the ball secure.
I think most agree the HC is going to draft a QB if they are there.
