Wild. Something must have happened behind the scenes.
Probably yelled at coaches and hurt their feelings like Ceedy did

LB Jaylon Smith
quote:
This was surprising, but it feels only temporary. Smith’s release could be a procedural move to get another player on injured reserve before bringing him back. Because he’s a veteran, he doesn’t have to clear waivers. He was their third-best linebacker this summer and he can be freely re-signed in a few days.

I have a feeling Smith and probably Roby will be back.

it's confirmed we cut brad roby even though there is trade interest for him...?
Posted on 8/29/23 at 12:09 pm to BallHawk
We started at 89
I have 13 cuts & 1 trade...that puts us at 75
If Kamara & Maye don't count...that puts us at 73
Still have a lot of cuts to go

not really.. both of them were complete arse
Penn, Ram, and Hurst are your 3 tackles, not sure if they keep another one or not, unless they start Hurst at LG

Hurst is your starting LG. We don’t really have a backup OT right now.
You’ll be in a situation where Hurst is your starting LG and backup at both tackles. You can manage that, but it introduces another variable to who then plays LG

Thank God Lewis Kidd is gone. 66 was constantly getting pushed back into the backfield right after the snap. Wish him the best but he isn't NFL material atm.

Idk man, his tweet seems pretty definitive

I’m not saying Norton and Kidd are any good, just saying we need some warm bodies

I don't really understand the Jaylon Smith release. He looked like a great fit here.

Handshake agreement to come back week 2 so we have a cheaper salary guaranteed instead. We do things like this every year.
