Knowing how often Carr liked targeting his TE's Cook & Waller, I'd like a bonafide TE talent in the room to compete with J. Johnson/A. Trautman for Carr's targets.

One of Mayer, Washington or Musgrave will be there at 40 and I'd be cool with that.

Yup. Also Romo/Prescott, Alex Smith/Mahomes, Roders/Love.

shite, going back further, Brees/Phillip Rivers. Etc.

This board is so dumb. Literally common practice.

I wouldn’t be totally surprised to see a small move up if a guy they like is there after 2-3 picks. I’d love Mayer

Witten is the low hanging fruit

Mayer does everything Mark Andrews does. Then you realize Mayer has the higher RAS score …

Man there’s still some really good players on the board. I can see Brian Branch also. His pro comp is Minkah Fitzpatrick

Yessir. Andrews was my pick also.

For whatever reason in my brain, Mayer looks a lot smaller than Andrews…but the measurables check out so it’s Gucci

Keion White smells like what we normally try to draft:

6'5", 285lbs
34" arm length, 10 1/8" hand size
9.56 RAS as edge; 9.91 RAS as DT

I think White goes off the board quick. But you are right he does fit our mold.

I was in Houston up until a couple of weeks ago and they were talking about him possibly being a choice at 12 for the Texans. Obviously he was high on some boards. Any reason he dropped?

Odds are a few of those guys will be available for round 3 also.

Isaiah foskey also fits our fold. He has good size, RAS of 9.61, and he was highly productive in college.

I couldn't remember his name (just "ND edge" in my brain) but I think he's the leader, honestly.

He went to the combine super small and it didn't help his physical testing. At NFL size he may be pushing a 5.0 40

Keion White is 24 already, and the production was just ok against younger comp

Foskey is another big edge, only 22, with two years of stellar production under his belt and a very impressive RAS that’s most similar to Clowney

Any chance the Montez Sweat and/or Chase Young rumors are true and they take a shot at one of those guys with one of today's picks?

The saints have some money left to spend and there's no TEs out there while there are some DEs. I wonder if this pushes us to TE. I wouldn't mind going after jalin Hyatt too.

I say...
White or foskey
Mayer or leporta
Hyatt
Porter jr
