If these idiots restructure Kamara, that’ll be the new # 1

Hill was restructured...that was always the plan

Carr at his contract is not #3; and I'm not even close to a Carr sunshine pumper. He's above average at best. that godforsaken 10-15 range.
But a guy like Kyler Murray isn't even on the fricking list? He's owed 71.5mil over the next 2 years alone. You can't even touch his contract until 2026 as well. He's played 19 games the past 2 years, accounted for 30 TDs and 14 turnovers during that span. Carr accounted for 25 TDs last year alone.

If those are the "worst" we're in good shape

Ramcyzk isn't on the list?
Is that considered below the bell to these lists or something they don't want to talk about because of backlash lol
Because Ramcyzks dead cap if unofficially retired is the best bet for 0 return on investment
I don't like Carr as the QB of my franchise but his deal isn't in the top 5 for worst contracts at his position
Hill is an expensive luxury...but Hill carries his weight the best he can it's not on him for not using himself more and more creatively

These are nowhere near Junior Galette, Jarius Byrd, Brandon Browner bad deals
Lists like this are usually written by the arses that loved those moves the off-season they were made

Way way worse contracts than what we are giving Carr. Hill probably not worth his contract, but he wins games and performs. Hes overpaid but thats half the leagues players.

Total truth. They were out of their minds doing this.

And it was stupid to do so, so it's the same idiotic cap plan they've had for 4 years now.

It wasn’t the contract, it was our cap situation during the contract and the constant need to kick every can possible.

Taysom's deal should have been the last to be touched so we would be rid of him years ago which would have had a dramatic positive effect on our cap (not wasting tens of millions of dollars on him over the years)

Wrong. Taysom is a very valuable commodity and is not preventing any sort of winning on the field.

There's no need to restructure him, Kamara has leverage in that there are no other known RB's on the roster that can legit be called #1 backs. (Yet)
But the Saints have the most leverage in that there is very little to NO market for 30 yo RB's not named Christian McCaffrey.
Simple... If Loomis shoots the Saints in the dick with another large dead money contract on an aging vet he should be fired.

Taysom is the biggest offensive threat on the Saints entire roster. If he had been properly used by the staff, he would be an NFL household name.

Carr #3

Meh... Saints are going to pay a premium for free agents because its New Orleans especially at QB. Carr has been very average but has some upside with good offensive coaching/ planning. Loomis should have cut Carmichael when bringing in a "big" contract free agent QB and then spending 1st round capital on a WR. It was a Brees/ Payton offense that has been stale since 2020.
Its not ideal Carr will be running a new offense coming into his 3rd year.
Taysom was well worth the contract in 2023 as he was healthy most of the year and continued to be a match up nightmare in a stale offense. The contract only becomes hideous if he is injury prone which is still a possibility as he continues to age.

Why would you get rid of him?

I'd love to hear this
