No it helps AVOID the 3 way tie.

We don't want to have the same record as Sea and GB at the end of the year. Sea losing helps avoid that.

Cards win improves our chance at a bye, but doesn’t appear to affect our #1 seed chances.

Okay I see. We need them to lose today in case green bay wins so then we can get 2nd instead of 3rd if 49ers lose next week

Yeah GB NEEDS to lose to have a shot at that. I think even in a 3 way tie with us, GB, and the 9ers we'd also be 3rd.

But these other games can affect us getting 2nd.

I mean we could also get 2nd if GB loses out, we win, and 9ers win.

And there is a scenario where if we win, GB loses out, Sea loses today and wins next week we'd get 1st.

That one is much harder to see.

Also think a pissed off Seattle team fighting for the bye at home is in our best interest.

Yup.

It's very fluid right now. Will be until after the MNF game. Then that will make the picture much clearer.

I don’t know the tie breaker rules but why would we fall to 3rd if we tie with SEA and GB? Doesn’t our head to head win against SEA put us 2nd?

no... a 3-way tie in this case is decided by record against NFC teams... and the Saints have the worst record of the 3

No because all 3 teams would have had to play each other.

It then goes to Conference record, which GB has a better one than us.

Basically not playing GB kinda screwed us (assuming we would have won).
