I don’t think you understand how this works.

That’s not liquid cash.

Billionaires don’t buy things like this in their own cash. They borrow against their asset portfolio. For Todd, it would be heavily against his ownership stake of Cane’s

This is the only reason. They'd absolutely love the Mannings if they all went to LSU.

I hate to tell you, NFL owners revenue share and make A LOT of money. NFL teams print money.

You still have to come up with a good bit of cash, no fun bunch you fat stupid frick I don’t think he’d have to pay cash for the team but if you think he could outright buy the saints without unloading a significant amount of his RE portfolio you’re an idiot

It’d be cool if Graves bought them and had them play two home games in Nov/Dec in Tiger Stadium.

You don’t understand how net worth works. None of these groups liquidate all of their assets to acquire another.

He wouldn’t have to. Banks will be bending over for him to finance with them. And he’ll have a minority owner or multiple to cover a portion of the cost

Bud, chill out.

You didn’t know what you were talking about and now are freaking out.

It’ll be ok.

Also I’ll add…the majority owner only has to actually own 30% of an nfl team.

Can have another 10% private equity and another 60% from various people.

The amount he’d have to leverage himself isn’t as much as you think and he wouldn’t come out of pocket a dime

90% of his net worth is tied up in assets and valuations of Canes. He ain’t buying more than a 5% stake if anything.

Fine that’s probably much more feasible just don’t think he could do it 100%

Even if you finance you have to be fairly liquid to own and operate an NFL team. Hell, some richer than Todd have had issues putting the guaranteed money on these big contracts into escrow.

Ever heard of using assets as collateral for loans?
