If new ownership means a better run team in a different market count me in. My loyalty is to the Saints not the city. Sell the team.

First thing out of his mouth as soon as the ink dries:

"Now - I want a new stadium...."
LA Legislature:"But we don't have any money..."
Tilman:"Fine. St. Louis? San Antonio? What yall offering?"

She might sell in the coming years if the buyer is someone she knows and trusts and is likely also Catholic lol

Why not? Gayle owns the Pelicans and Saints.

They are in the same market.

There used to be rules about different markets

He’s not well loved as an owner by Rockets fans.

Great GM and head coach hires over the last 4 years have turned the Rockets from a dumpster fire into one of youngest & talent loaded teams in the league. Seems to be exactly what all Saints fans want: new GM and stellar head coach.

So, of all the people who have passed through the (not so) great state of Louisiana, you pick the man who started a fried chicken restaurant and another man that spent most of his time on the turf of the Super Dome? I will never understand the obsession with these two groups of people by Louisiana natives.

There are only handful of people in Louisiana with the money to buy a stake in the team that have any public spotlight so of course that is who people will mention first. The thought is the Mannings know football and the city.

at least he wouldn't be able to move the team to Houston

doesn't he have some LA ties so I would think he would be a good owner to keep Saints in city long term

Of all the people, you chose a self made, 52 year old billionaire from Louisiana

No way. Go back to the pool of young, sports obsessed, charismatic Louisiana billionaires

Just move them to Rome, play in the Colosseum, Caesars could still sponsor.

Fertitta favored to be US Ambassador to Italy

Todd Graves needs to step in and take control of the franchise.

Gayle is not the answer.

Everyone down on Gayle Benson; she single handedly fired Denice Allen. She gave him enough time to prove himself and took care of business. If she is able to do this, she has the correct level of envolvement in the team.

Of course. Musk could outbid everyone.

Fertitta, per France, bid $4.4 billion for the Commanders, only for Harris' bid to top $6 billion.

In the game of NFL franchise purchases, simple economics don't always rule the day.

A motivated bidder could once again blow Fertitta's offer out of the water.

Musk could buy the Saints 10 x over. We know this because thats what he paid for Twitter hahaha.

I always wondered why a influential billionaire hasnt rooted in New Orleans. On second thought, the politics is why.

Boca Chica turning into a literal Space Port over the course of the next 10 years. Imagine what someone like Musk could do for New Orleans.

Even when we were awarded the franchise in 1966 it took Texas money and an owner to close the deal and own the team. If I recall it sold for $8M to Mecom family.

Even though NOLA was a much better city and a top 20 TV market in the late 60s we still couldn’t find a Louisiana owner.

At least Fertitta owns the Papadeaux chain so that’s close enough on the Louisiana ties. I’ll take my chances with him and a possible move vs a continued lost generation of Saints football that is inevitable with Gayle in charge.

Sell the team or gift it to Rita.

Gayle is making a profit owning both teams. Why would she even think about selling?
