Oline is 1 injury away from complete disaster, so really hoping for health there.

I've been beating the CB drum all offseason. I don't see a true number 1 (though I hope Kool-Aid will become that), just a bunch of number 2 at best guys.

Are you stupid?

Every draft pick is incredibly valuable when your team is in the process of a major rebuild. I repeat, a complete tear down to the studs, REBUILD.

Every young player that you bring in, is a valuable commodity.

Not sure if you noticed, but we have a serious talent problem.

EVERY PICK IS PRECIOUS!!

Especially if you suck at drafting. You need as many darts to throw at the board as humanly possible to hopefully improve your hit rate.

Its called odds and probability. There is a city out west called Las Vegas that was built entirely on this principal. Look it up. It's amazing what you can learn.

The odds on any of those are low as frick in the 4th. Sure it CAN happen, but you play the odds when making decisions on trading away picks

What are the odds of Vele being anything more than a 3rd wideout or rotational receiver?

Broncos just drafted a prospect they deemed better right after we took Broughton. Mid 3rd.

Funny you mention Las Vegas as the Raiders have been in the top third of the draft for 20 years and still suck worse than the Saints

What are the odds that our coaching staff isn't so much worried about Vele being a pro-bowl #1 WR, but moreso saw a need for a situational possession receiver and used a 4th round pick to get a 6'5" guy with a 75% catch rate and 3 TDs in 55 targets?

And Mickey Loomis dedicated the last 2 years trying to be the Raiders

I don't know why we are trying to compare our team to the lowest common denominator to justify how shitty our team is run.

The Raiders won't be worse than the Saints this year.

The Saints are going to be putrid.

I see a max of 3 wins. MAX

Im not comparing them to anyone..

I just think its funny that the armchair GMs on this message board are convinced that stock piling draft picks is going to 'rebuild' this team when there is a mountain of evidence that all the draft picks in the world won't make a difference until you find your coach+QB combo

And its also been said ad nauseum that '2nd round QBs rarely turn into quality players'... So if the only way to get a good QB is in the top end of the 1st, and if we're going to be so historically bad that we win 3 games max, then Loomis has put you exactly where you want to be

You’re acting like we just flushed a 4th rd pick down the toilet.

Trading picks for a player can also be part of rebuild.

Go watch Vele’s tape.

Save these melting rants for during the season if Moore’s version of this team looks incompetent. Until then. Save your childish whining for someone else.

This is the least talented roster since Ditka. Seriously, go look at position groups.

There isn't a single All Pro on the roster. Very few even close to Pro Bowl level.

The young tackles have promise.

The QB situation is as bad as it's been since before Jeff Blake and Aaron Brooks.

RB is good but our best player is about to hit that 30 year old RB wall.

WR is a dude one hit away from retirement, a good speed guy and absolutely nothing else.

TE is a bunch of JAGs

G is really bad and OL depth is unproven.

The defense has zero Pro Bowl level players. There's a few with potential but no elite pass rusher. No elite lockdown CB.

LB is average.

This is a really really bad roster.

It's fine. They needed a reset.

All I really said was I want to competence from a CKM Saints team.

So not sure why you’re replying to me?

Other than Foster, what other former Raiders are on the team?

Last year it was DA, Carr, Foster & Abram. We had more former Packers & Chiefs on the team last year than we had former Raiders.

You are a Saints apologist and a Loomis lapdog.

Got it.

Absolutely no way. We are going to win 2-3 games and we will do the same next year. It’s a rebuild, embrace it

It's not going to be good, but there have been worse teams.

Pretty much spot on. If Kellen Moore gets really anything out of this group more than a token win or 3 the future is pretty bright once we get a qb.

They cut JT Gray and Shaheed????

In all seriousness, I wouldn't say this is a real indictment of how bad the roster is; because outside of those 2 the team hasn't had an All Pro since 2019 when they had 4. Also, the team does not have a long history of having All Pro players.

In the 40 years before Payton the team only had 10 All-Pro players.

Funny note looking up the number: I noticed that Abramowicz, Turley & Ramczyk were 1st team All-Pro yet never made the Pro Bowl. Demario was All Pro in 2019 but did not make the Pro Bowl until 2022 & 2023.

Higher than a 4th round pick being a significant player

Historically bad with the Saints history is a really low bar to crawl under... I see a 5 win season, they will back into a few wins and play a few teams late in the season vying for better draft stock.
