We are 2-1 and had the chance to win this game. Hopefully McCoy and Hill won’t be out long and this team can shake this loss off.

As bad as we played on offense it was a 3 point game. Still plenty of optimism for the rest of the season.

I was one of the guys not very optimistic about this season but at least we have a decent team to pull for and if healthy and very good chance at winning the division

I thought we would be horrible this year. I'm still damn excited. 2-1 & tied for the division lead.

Could be much worse.

That’s putting it lightly. The defense, even with the big plays they gave up, handed the offense the game and from top to bottom they shite the bed. If Hill plays the Saints win, if Hill plays next week, the Saints Win.

Yep Defense is legit. 2-1 is a much better place than I thought we would be at this point in the season.

This is well put. We have a really good defense and when the offense plays healthy we will be a hard out for anyone

I’m still pumped about the season. No team looks unbeatable

Yeah we’re ok. We’re not a serious contender unless the nfc really just sucks but it’ll be fun to watch.

these are the kind of games you find a way to win if the team is looking to take that next step.

it was there for the taking.

that Eagles coach is a fricking bozo.

that was a conference game and AJ Brown, Lane Johnson, Devonta Smith, either didn't play or missed parts of the game due to injury.

won the turnover battle and wasted a blocked punt where at least a field goal likely forces a different outcome.

There is a big difference between this years team and last years.

For that reason I’m excited.

The worst part to me is that we'd have had Tom Brady calling our game next week but instead he's going to Philly

And the Saints got worse after the game. You can't possibly say they got better

Think this discredits the Eagles a lot. Their defense was stopping at the line forcing the Saints to rely on the pass game. Secondary stepped up.

Not to mention the poor coaching decisions that they went for it twice on 4th when in obvious field goal range. Easily could have had another 6 on the board.

Plus you played them down their best weapon. Their second best weapon went down during the game and was out their final touchdown drive. They were down AJ Brown, Lane Johnson and Devonta Smith and the defense gave a dominating performance. Not to mention losing Slay at the end. Holding Carr to 142 yards and taking Shaheed out of the game all together, which the previous two teams could not do. Philly played a next man up game and gutted this win on the road in a hostile environment.

We were down Taysom Hill and McCoy.

Forcing one olineman to play out of position and a backup guard against above average DTs stacking the box.

So pretty even in my book

This game showed DA revert to why we hated him, injuries or not. When the defense is cooking, he coaches overly conservatively. The D was on the field for damn near 40 minutes and the only chance we had to win was for them to continue to hold. I know we had injuries and had issues running, but the Eagles could not guard Olave and we hardly used him. Every Saints fan knew that it would take only one big play for us to lose the game, yet DA coached to not lose.

I think the bigger benefit (if you can call it that) is that NO got their wake-up call early in the season. The iggles were picked to win, but the Saints could have easily beaten them at home if not for injuries.

That said, those injuries showed them (and us fans) the exact weak spots on this team: OL depth and defensive stamina.

Sucks to lose, especially when that game could have been won. But now the Saints have a loose tooth from getting punched in the face and aren't going to take anyone - or anything - for granted going forward.

At least, that's what I hope. But this is New Orleans after all, so....??
