The Redskins game that year was flukey as hell thanks to Meachum stripping that interception back from the DB.

That's just not giving up on the play.

Two things stand out in my mind about that game. One was Devery torching the Pats defense. The other was Brady and Belichick pouting on the sideline in the fourth quarter.

And Mike McKenzie coming off the street and shutting down Brady

Yeah redskins game was nuts. Didn’t Washington’s kicker miss a late FG?

Sean Suisham missed a FG from point blank range at the 2 minute mark that would have given the Redskins a 10 point lead. The Saints were out of TOs, so that would have put them in a huge hole.

2011 is our best team ever.

Unless this team goes 14-2 and wins the Super Bowl.

You spelled "Until" wrong.

That one play didn’t make that game flukey

I would say it was moreso also having them miss what was basically an extra point and then getting that fumble in OT.

But yeah I wouldn't really call the whole game flukey. We made some great plays.

Great teams make great plays when needed.

The 2009 team was a great team. Wewon 13 games straight until injuries caught up with us. In the playoffs we beat 3 Hof qbs.

This team is shaping up nicely. To be a young team and lose 2 to start the season but bounce back says alot about the leadership on the team. I am excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Jim Henderson screaming that Dev could backstroke his way to the endzone was one of the GOAT Saints moments.

It's fun to talk about, but in the end, if we don't win the SB, then we're comparing this team to the 2011 team exclusively. We're obviously better than the 2006 team. Tough to compare to the 2001 playoff team or the mid 80's teams (that mostly didn't make the playoffs despite the Dome Patrol).

Bobby Hebert comparing the Saints offense to the Nazi army (Blitzkrieg) was one of the best moments of my life.

This team is built to play on any surface, in any weather conditions, at home or on the road and compete.

To have a HOF QB playing behind this OL, able to hand/throw to these 2 special and complementary backs is great. That’s not even factoring in Michael Thomas who may be the most dependable WR in the game as a sophomore and Ginn who looks like he has had a career resurgence. I would not want to be the DC to have to gameplan our O.

Now on D, our secondary has played incredible and it’s gotten to the point where it is not a fluke. The
DL feeds off of that and the LBs are dependable enough not to hurt you and can make plays when needed.

Finally, all of the youth that we have added has helped our Special Teams tremendously.

This team might be better than ‘09 because that team needed Home field advantage. This team will go into another teams Home and punch them in the mouth repeatedly until they quit. I love it.

Best teams in Payton/Brees era at the moment:
1. 2011
2. 2009
3. 2017

I agree if we go 13-3 this season it'd be more impressive than those other two considering our strength of schedule and the strength of the NFC this season.
