Correct, the NBA does not define itself as entertainment. However, like all major sports, they have revenue sharing between the teams. SO in essence, if all teams are pooled together to make the sport? Its basically entertainment. Professional sports are ALL fixed to some degree. Horse racing. They did get outplayed but it doesn't mean it wasn't rigged. Maholmes looked like he knew he would lose the game before it was even played. Peyton Manning had the same look before the game vs the Seahawks when they got shellacked. Those QBs know it. They aren't stupid.
They could easily be on the take for point shaving or outright throwing a game.

Bountygate wasnt real. It was simply NFL saving face. Every team before during and after have bounties. Its known and a given. Notice how only small market teams such as Saints take the hits? No one cares about the Saints. Besides, if it wasnt for Katrina? Saints wouldnt have won a SB. It was a feel good story for the shitty. Err city.

The fact that so many defensive judgement calls result in a first down, for no reason whatsoever, tells you everything you need to know. 3rd and 18 and you need that team to cover, defensive hands to the face will give them a fresh set of downs.

And how often do these calls occur on the game-winning drive near the end of important NFL games? Fairly often.
