The national media seems to think the Saints will be fine?

Seen a bit of talking heads today.

Did they not see Teddy dumpster fire yesterday?

Have you missed the falcons, panthers, and Bucs this season?

I mean, it's not like they're saying the Saints will go 5-1 without Brees and clinch home field. They're just saying if the Saints tread water, they might sneak in the playoffs with a late season run.

i would venture to guess the talking heads haven't seen him play in the preseason or the game yesterday.

the only copy points they know are "he's the best backup in the league"

Probably because the Saints are talented and even without Brees are a top half of the league team.

There has been NO game prep based on teddy being the starter. He will never be drew brees but with a week or 2 of game planning and practice with him as a starter the offense will be adequate. If we can get brees back in late november with a record close to .500 them i think brees can make a wildcard push.

Teddy was thrown in. He played fine except one drive. He had no help, as Aikman mentioned. Dropped passes and so many goddamn penalties.

He is not a bad QB and can win some games with this offense. Obviously he isn’t Brees. But he’s not a dumpster fire type QB. He needs reps with the 1s.

They probably think that once Bridgewater gets some reps the Saints will be better.

Depends on what your definition of 'fine' is, really. Fine as in, might go 9-7 and challenge for a playoff spot is a far cry from 12+ wins and challenging for homefield advantage.

Teddy just needs to be quicker with the reads and release. Step up and let it go. Also, running game will need to improve. I truly think our defense is top 10. At least on the D-line. Secondary...... meh.

I'd rather be a Saints fan missing Drew than a Steeler's fan missing missing Big Ben

They only remember Bridgewater 2014 and haven’t bothered to do any research.

Mason Rudolph looked decent yesterday. The one INT on the stat sheet was Donte Moncrief's fault (I have no idea why that bum on still on their roster).
