re: The downfall of our team in the playoffs has been poor interior OL play

My problem is since we're in "win now mode" we pick a center who has started 5 games at guard his freshman year to replace warford? I don't know man.
I just don't get why we didn't pick someone with experience.

The need isn’t obvious right now but when we start playing musical chairs with our OL on the back end of the season it will

Or OT if you go OL. A spot where it’s actually worrying grooming someone.
I think that’s Peat given his contract. I love having depth on the interior this season and options in the future
I hope we keep Watford. It’s hard to keep a 5 man unit healthy and a clean interior makes this offense click

I don't think it's a big leap to ask a center to move to guard with ample notice.

The melting on my Facebook is even worse. People keep saying Ruiz wasnt even on the radar for first round in mock drafts. Wtf? He made kiper and Jeremiah's final mocks. Gonna end up being the best pick of this year's draft.
People keep saying the blue print to beating the saints is to pressure Brees up the middle. Ruiz says "hold my fricking beer ".

J, the Saints second leading WR last year in playoffs:
Deonte Harris 1 catch 50 yards
Ted Ginn 1 catch 18 yards
No other WR recorded a catch.
Well I’m sure glad we added Sanders and have Cooks, Kamara, and Taysom
How’d our line do last year in the playoffs
Posted on 4/23/20 at 11:58 pm to BilJ
J; now much capital are they gonna tie up with guards?
If you’re going to pay Peat that much money... man it’s hard to justify adding a G at 1.24
McCoy can play G? Great. You have a larger pool of options next year either in FA or draft. Best G or best C & move pieces.
Just how I see it.

Could have gotten a starter at guard later in the draft. Passing on a LB when that position is your biggest need was foolish
God it's gotta suck to be this stupid

And still a creation of this board while the saints continue to draft who they feel is best player available annually.

Well those numbers are about to change with 17 games plus new TV deal. Peats value is versatility but I don’t love him

And this Saints team runs on interior line play. We struggled replacing C for years

Who would you have gone with

Brees went 26 of 33 and they had no one that could do anything with the ball cause they shut Thomas down
Posted on 4/24/20 at 12:05 am to Lester Earl
Brees was 26 of 33
Gotcha. How many points did we put up? What about all that pressure that got to Brees?

Brees' Y/A were way below average as well.

First, we already added Sanders.
You can’t be serious with this. We had a huge fumble, 3 sacks, an int, and averaged under 4 ypc (42 yards) with our backs
You’re seriously going to take the contrarian angle on this too?
Posted on 4/24/20 at 12:10 am to BreesyInBigEasy
Not being contrarian at all
The best drafting LB team in the last 20yrs took Patrick Queen
The best offensive coach In football took Aiyuk at WR.
Both bigger needs than Guard or Center

Where do you rank the saints for drafting offensive lineman?
That wasn’t what you were just arguing, was it? 26/33 in the playoffs, right?
Once again, how’d the line do in the plauoffs? This is pathetically weak even for you

If you can complete 78% of your fricking passes, you are in a pretty good spot
Outside of Michael Thomas, Brees completes 1 pass for 18 yards to an actual WR lol.
