The Broncos are near a deal with Taysom Hill.

It was obvious this would be the outcome but it still sucks. I really wanted to see 7 go out a Saint.

I hope it works for him, but I would be shocked if it did. 36 year old RB's don't come back the same from a knee injury like he had. It was clear he had lost speed and power last year. Maybe another year removed from the injury makes him faster and stronger but I wouldn't put money on it.

Nothing more than assumption but growing up in Idaho he may have been a Bronco fan and could fulfill something on his bucket list?

probably not as they have a ton of TEs on their roster but they could find a spot for him with Payton's boner for the guy.
Engram sucked arse last year and makes too much money for his contract.
Trautman is just a guy. nothing special at all
Krull showed a few flashes with us and is a good blocker. Not sure if his ceiling is anything more than a Josh Hill.
Adkins is probably Hills #1 competition. Does all the special teams stuff.
Then they drafted 2 TEs this year in Justin Joly in the 5th and Darren Bentley in the 7th.
Plus last years 7th round pick in Caleb Lohner who hung around onthe practice squad and is back in camp this year.

The question is does Taysom want to go thru a training camp with the risk of not making the active roster for vet minimum. He likely has plenty of money and I can’t imagine the fire to play is that intense. Only thing I can think of is he wants a ring and Denver had a decent shot.

Why would you bet against someone this dedicated and disciplined, surrounded by the best trainers and rehabilitation professionals in the world, regaining his former abilities given this much time?

As good as New Orleans has been for him he may be rooting for the Saints, too, as a player on the Bronco sideline!
