Teddy seems to be an average QB to me.

this guy is getting it done with a motivated/above normal defense, but imagine how we would be doing with our normal saints D of past years?

Makes trading him a little easier when you actually think about it huh?

let's just forget the idea of trading Teddy is pretty dumb for a second

Would a contending team really give up much for him? You don't trade for him this week, then have him walk in as the immediate starter. He'd have to learn a completely new offense and develop chemistry with new players, that takes time. So who's giving up anything worth a damn knowing not only could you be sunk by the time he gels, he could also be out the door via FA and you're back to square one.

The team loves this guy.
He's great in the locker room.
Everybody is overachieving for him.

Let's trade him away to shitty team that needs a QB so he can play out the string, miss the playoffs, and go somewhere else!

Makes it a lot easier to trade him away, don't ya think!
You can't cure retarded.

One would think that, with how this year has gone for the NFL, having a quality backup would be a priority for a super bowl contending team

These thumb-dicks decided they didn't like him because he threw a bunch of bad passes and got sacked too much in the preseason.

The preseason.

Seeing what average is in the NFL right now I would grade Teddy a solid B QB.

which is exactly why he will be a hot FA commodity after this year and command a premium salary to whoever signs him

but no one will give up a draft pick when then can just pick up the phone in january and get him for nothing

Teddy seems to be a smart, winning QB that has been the key to keeping us in the driver's seat this year, and a must keep to ensure we have a healthy QB starting (whether Brees or Bridgewater) for the rest of the year to me

Fixed it for you.

He is an average QB, and that’s fine. Would he be a top 15 QB? No. The roster is very good all around. You can win a lot of games with an average QB if the roster around him is good.

He's a careful QB, perfect with a conservative offense and stout defense. Not a diva, but hasn't shown any remarkable traits that would make you think at this time that he is the heir apparent.

i got banned from SR for posting this same thought nearly word for word. mods said i was trashing teddy and thats trolling even though i was responding in a thread where idiots were claiming teddy would take us to the SB even without brees

i thought you guys were joking about how bat shite crazy SR was so i joined up and couldnt believe how bad that place was.

any honest critic of the saints gets you banned there and only ra ra cheerleading posting is allowed

There are literally zero suitors for 9 games worth of teddy Bridgewater. Which means the saints have zero leverage in any trade involving him. Do you dumb fricks even think before you type shite?

I'd maybe list the Titans as a 1% interest rate.

Titans have equity in a 1st rd pick and a backup that is paid the same as Teddy, C-Boi

Also, Teddy might be an upgrade, but he's not amazing enough to come in halfway through their season and save it without knowing the offense. They can just wait and address QB in the draft or free agency.

One thing Saints and Payton need to realize with Brees coming back is that you have the defense that can take some pressure off the offense.
Sometimes it may be advantageous to pull the reins in a little with Brees because it's worked trying to protect Bridgewater.
Don't get me wrong, I want a productive Brees offense like Saints fans are accustomed to but Brees can limit some of those risks he takes and play a field position game with this defense.

mariota is garbage and they are done with him.

they can bring teddy in to back up tannehill for now, get him in the system and see if he's a fit for the future and maybe help them fight for playoff spot.
