There are literally zero suitors for 9 games worth of teddy Bridgewater. Which means the saints have zero leverage in any trade involving him. Do you dumb fricks even think before you type shite?

Would a team, who wanted to get a early start at contract talks with him, maybe give up something for that opportunity?

but no one will give up a draft pick when then can just pick up the phone in january and get him for nothing

If anything it would benefit these teams to continue on their current shitty trajectory and pick up a nice complementary weapon

they can bring teddy in to back up tannehill for now, get him in the system and see if he's a fit for the future and maybe help them fight for playoff spot.

If you ran a franchise what would you pay for this

If we gave it a couple of minutes’ thought, I’m sure we could think of a team that would love to have him.

Biggest thing to me this may be the best OL in the league. He will never replicate elsewhere what he’s accomplished here. Payton and our cast is just that good.Fact

We gave up a 3rd for unproven Teddy at the end of preseason and his contract was expiring. His value didn't go down since then. 3rd rd comp pick is possible. I wouldn't take less than a 2nd for him right now.

Half a season has less value than a whole season, especially at QB.

As for Teddy potentially taking over next season. If Drew retires the type of options we'll have at QB might be Teddy, Taysom, Andy Dalton, Cam, Winston, Mariota, Eli, maybe Keenum. Or trade wayyy up. An all-pro QB probably isn't going to materialize to take over.

Well a team would have to pay around 3.5 mil, drop a active player, and give up a draft pic for that opportunity.

He is an average quarterback. Let another team overpay him.

Funny that’s how I feel about brees. It’s the system and the coach

Isn't his completion percentage over 70% right now? That's not too shabby.

Makes trading him a little easier when you actually think about it huh?

What happens if Drew’s thumb gets reinsured? Oops, we traded our competent backup so the seasons over. I bet your fantasy team is stacked

Like most QBs, if you put teddy in a system that works for him, then he’ll be great. Teddy has been good this year, but he could be much better. Remember Teddy has gotten back up reps all summer. If Teddy is given the reps of a starter and a team that fit him, he’d be fine. Also remember this is Teddy’s first time as a starter in years.

Starters in the NFL right now that are better than Teddy (that means excluding the injured QBS):

1.) Wentz
2.)Rodgers
3.) Stafford
4.) Ryan
5.) Wilson
6.) Brady
7.) Watson
8.) Rivers
9.) Carr
10.) Mahomes
11.) Jackson

I think if he had his own team he’d be on the level of Dak and Jared Goff.
