Someone said it earlier PT 2.0 but wayyy better.

Pump the breaks. PT is probably the best screen back ever and one of the best Res in the history of the Saints. I'm stoked about Kamara but its been 3 series in a preseason game.

AP is temporary. Kamaro is the future.

True, kid has the 'it' factor. To paraphrase what others have said, he'll be Payton's new toy and will provide the receiving threat out of the backfield again (we've lacked that since Sproles left). Peterson/Ingram both provide the same skill set. Kamara is really next years 2nd round pick that will contribute this year and beyond.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kamara is the bigger addition. Peterson likely won't be the guy we remember from a few seasons ago, and probably won't go the entire season without injury. At this point he's going to alternate with Ingram, and crazy as it sounds, Ingram may have the better year.

Kamara might step in and be the change of pace we've been missing, the one we hoped Spiller would be.

Adrian Peterson 40 yard dash.....4.4

Alvin Kamara....4.56

Alvin Kamara is very quick, but he's not Sproles quick. He's more of a true RB than people realize, with the ability to do other things really well, which will allow us to use him like we used Sproles/Thomas

I don't think Kamara is another Sproles. Sure we will use him in that capacity but I see him as a shifttier Pierre Thomas with better hands and route running ability. I think he's gonna be with us for awhile and will assuredly be our guy going forward after Ingram

This. He got 4 carries in a preseason game vs the Browns. I dont know what AP will or won't do but his history is HOF. Pump pump pump those brakes

At the combine Kamara tested better than most running backs there. Also he has a lot of tread left on the tires having to sit out a year, because of transfer rules and really only playing a half of year last year.Peterson though is still a freak of a man at his age on top of that being one of the best running back's to ever suit up in NFL. If Peterson is 90% of the tailback used to be and if Kamara really is the Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles piece we've been missing. I'll go with Kamara just from the way Payton uses running backs

That said, I think Kamara can be the screen/3rd down back we have been sorely missing since Sproles. If so it's tough to beat that kind of impact

That ship has sailed.....
The league knew what plays CSP was calling based on his personnel groupings....

Kamara can be a superstar in this offense, but you have to play him on 1st and 2nd downs...
You can't trot him on the field on 3rd and 5 and not expect the defense to know what you are doing

Kamara and peterson areboth great additions. They both bring that big play ability that you just dont have with Ingram
