It is believed the Saints going 5-0 with Bridgewater in Brees’ absence hurt his case for the top 100. It made some people suspect Brees is a system quarterback.

There were quite a few great LB's that got left out - Sam Huff, Mike Singletary, Ray Nitschke, Derrick Thomas to name a few

Pretty ridiculous Singletary missed it. He was a NINE time All Pro and 2x DPOY. Top 3 ILB of all time. Even Ed Reed didn’t make it and he’s arguably the best cover safety of all time. The list isn’t really an All Time team. More like we choose a few players here and there to describe the history or some shite.
Eta: Reed did make it in. The NFL’s all time leader in INTs, Paul Krause, didn’t make it in. Also missing was LaDainian Thomlinson. Instead they had a bunch of guys from the 30s-50s.

I think a bigger snub is the fact that the Saints have been a really good team the last 3 years and the offense has looked bad in the playoffs and lose.
