Just watched his press conference, I like listening to him, he does well in front of the camera and seems like he’s pretty focused. Lots of questions about the QB competition and he answered them well. He seems to be the front runner so far, if he ends up being the guy, it will be fun pulling for him.

Rattler will be QB1 in week 1. I don't see the other 2 beat him out of that slot.

Might want to start getting the paper bags ready.

Why not start Haener if we’re tanking for Arch?

Does look like he will win the job. I like the kid and think he can be damn good.

I don’t see any reason to rush Shough into the starting role.

Send rattler out there and see what he does. If it’s not good, throw Shough into the fire.

I can’t hang anything that happened last year on him. He was put into one of the worst positions from a crappy coaching staff that most of the team quit on, injuries, etc. Not saying he’s the next great QB in the league, but he deserves a chance to prove it with the new coaching staff and a healthy Offense around him.

If Rattler is QB1 I sure hope he is substantially improved over last year, otherwise we are cooked.

I've accepted the fact that we're more than likely cooked this season regardless of who our QB will be.

I predict all three start games this year. So, yea, I'm not optimistic about the season.

Other than his age and draft capital.

He's 25 at a position that can play longer than most. He could wait a year or two to start. As for draft capital, if you can make him a quality starter by year three with a planned rebuild where you now have a contender around him, I would probably call that a win; at minimum, I would call it a break-even value.

AT THE END OF THE DAY

If whomever plays qb1 becomes a pretty/very good qb under kellen moore and then whomever does not play becomes a very good backup qb2 on roster and all was spent was a 2nd and 5th round for 2 guys on rookie contracts at the most expensive position in football then we are winning bigly.

Logically rattler will start the first quarter of the year unless he plays horrid.

If he's mediocre or average, they'll shake things up and go to shough for week 5 vs nyg at home.

Slough can't win the job. Saints wasted a pick. 2nd pick would have been huge for Saints in other positions.

He won't be worse than last year. That's a fact.

Way too early to say that.

We really can’t go wrong here. Either one of the current QBs is good or we have a top 3 pick in a good QB draft and Kellen Moore gets to hand pick his guy.
