Amazing walking without the knee brace six days after being restricted for six weeks and feels fantastic!

I think he's the pick at 12 as well.

when you get top 3 pick value at 12, you do it and don't even think about it.

I don't expect Jack to fall to us. I would love Jaylon Smith at 12

agreed, which is why I am starting to think he won't be there at 12. look at Gurley. recovery times are much quicker now than they were, and teams will be willing to wait a few games if the player is a blue chipper

i'm just worried that if he is there at 12, the saints will somehow mess up

Did y'all just get out of a time capsule from 2-3 years ago?

I've heard a lot of analysts say he is a top 3 player in this draft if not for his injury.

Would take in a heartbeat.

Man, imagine our LB corps future if we did that

This news is not good for our chances of snagging him, the healthier he looks the less likely we are to have him fall to us. If it looks like he will be playing without placing him on the PUP, he could be gone in the top 5.

Though I really hope I'm wrong. He's my biggest hope for the draft. I think this dude is going to be a stud for a long time

I didn't even realize this guy's stock was falling even with the injury.

A close family member of mine, 18 years old, tore his ACL early last year. 7 months after surgery, I recall him telling me he felt 100 percent. Also, he didn't need his brace any longer than 6 weeks. Jaylon Smith's surgery was January 7th. Hopefully 100 percent early August?

No, different injuries.

I'm way against taking him at 12.

He's going to be absolutely fine longterm. These guys aren't human when it comes to healing from these types of injuries. The nutrition, therapy, and resources available to them is insane and physically they're in the top .01 percent of human beings on earth. If they think he's a game changer the first few months of training camp or this season shouldn't matter at all.

If he needs a full redshirt year...he could fall out of the 1st altogether. I can't remember the last time someone was drafted in the 1st that missed the entire season.

Saints 2nd Round Pick - Jaylon Smith.
