Something I had forgotten until I just rewatched some 2009 highlights

Is how much I hated those Mike Smith era Falcons teams. frick that guy and that franchise. Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio, Michael Turner, and that random return guy that always killed us (Eric Weems I think was his name?) might have been the most annoying group ever assembled. Recency bias made me think these past few Buccaneers teams have been the most dislikable ever but I think those Falcons teams were worse.

mike smith was a douche but he was a douche who always made terrible decisions so the saints would win. wish he never left

One time when they were playing the Saints at home 2011 or 2012? they tried a run on a 4th and 1 from like maybe inside their own 30 yard line? In overtime.
Classic.
Saints stopped them and kicked an easy field goal after that.

<——Was there in the Georgia Dome on Home sidelines, Row 1, 50 yard line (actually 49.5 yd line because the steps ran exactly along the 50 yd line).
I bought the tickets online a week before for around $100 per seat.
Saints tried to keep Atlanta in the game. 26-23 Final OT
