Some could argue reasonably that signing Dalton and strategic low budget signings is an attempt to improve as well, while working towards a better cap.

If this move blows up it will be well into the 2030s before we compete or have a winning season.

Every Saints fan I talked to today in person who actually watches the team and is a fan, like the signing. We “should” win the division the next three seasons, no doubt in my mind. NFC is weak, anything can happen in the playoffs.

There were a few possible kernels of truth, but OP totally negated with the stupid her/Denise shite. It totally was. It totally went off the rails when he said Trask would lead Tampa to championship

And, assuming that the average tiger dropping fan has an IQ 10 points higher than the median Saints fan, we are still dealing with Neanderthal level intelligence

So you're on board with Geno after ONE good year and a career of failure but Carr can't turn it around? FYI, Carr was a much better QB prospect coming into the league than Geno.

Fields is a hell of a running back.

Cousins can't win anything unless its played on a Sunday at noon or 3pm.

Danny Dimes again had one good year with a career full of failure before that.

Who TF is Wilson?

Dak led the league in INTs while missing 5 games.

Russell Wilson. Ever heard of him? And I forgot to mention kyler Murray. I’m not a fan of the guy but he’s 10x more upside than Carr

Russell Wilson is in the AFC. Try again.

Murray just tore the only good part of his body.

Dennis Allen might keep their job. (But it’s just Dennis Allen being referenced here.)

You see how fricking stupid this is?

If we don’t win the south it means our record is pretty bad and we will be picking high in the draft for the next several years. Not sure who some people wanted to go with at QB? We didn’t have to give up anything to get Carr. We still have all of our drafts picks. If a QB is available that the organization likes they will draft him if they want him. If they don’t they can draft them next year.

If we stay relatively healthy, we should win the South next few seasons, if not then it has been a massive failure. This move with Carr should give us the division and into the playoffs. And looking at the NFC landscape, we have a shot. However, I think the AFC will dominate the league for the next decade.

Denise Allen is done. She will have no more excuses at that point. She was given $150 mill to spend and handpicked the most washed/average qb option possible. If her job wasn’t on the line there’s no chance in hell that you go with Carr. Why go with a proven loser rather than roll the dice in the draft or someone who actually has potential. Ok fine Denise, you’ve got your guy.

I agree he is done if we are not in the playoffs, but this statement is wrong and idiotic.

Carr was the best option available in free agency by far. Unless you think we should have given up multiple firsts and huge guaranteed contracts for another qb.
