Some could argue reasonably that signing Dalton and strategic low budget signings is an attempt to improve as well, while working towards a better cap.
If this move blows up it will be well into the 2030s before we compete or have a winning season.

Not sure who some people wanted to go with at QB? We didn’t have to give up anything to get Carr. We still have all of our drafts picks. If a QB is available that the organization likes they will draft him if they want him. If they don’t they can draft them next year.

This move with Carr should give us the division and into the playoffs. And looking at the NFC landscape, we have a shot. However, I think the AFC will dominate the league for the next decade.

I agree he is done if we are not in the playoffs, but this statement is wrong and idiotic.
Carr was the best option available in free agency by far. Unless you think we should have given up multiple firsts and huge guaranteed contracts for another qb.
