Denise Allen is done. She will have no more excuses at that point. She was given $150 mill to spend and handpicked the most washed/average qb option possible. If her job wasn’t on the line there’s no chance in hell that you go with Carr. Why go with a proven loser rather than roll the dice in the draft or someone who actually has potential. Ok fine Denise, you’ve got your guy. But when Trask and TB win the division I don’t want to hear anymore excuses.

You can "try to win" and still do dumb shite in the process. And people are allow to be unhappy when said dumb shite is done.
We were a hair away from winning the division and going to the playoffs with a guy who probably would have costed us 1/3rd of what we're having to pay Carr.
It's entirely reasonable to question this move.

Folks don't have to love this signing but I at least like the fact that we are trying to improve. We are clear Winston and Dalton aren't the answer and we don't have cap space or draft capital. And referring several times to Allen as a she/her? How old are you?

I don't disagree with this, but at the same time I don't think whatever he signs for as a team's backup will be proof of what the Saints would have needed to pay for him to be their starter.

Agreed, but I don't qualify this as dumb shite. I would have much rather they face the cap music and get to the point where we're not having to continuously restructure bad contracts and contracts for players that should be cut but the team can't afford to cut. But this signing should have them in the NFCCG by 2024, unless there is an onslaught of QB talent in the NFC. IMO, Carr is the 2nd best QB in the conference behind Hurts (assuming Rodgers leaves), but would not argue if someone has Dak as 2 and Carr 3.

I'm obviously referring to him being paid as our starter. Winston was awarded a $12-13mill a year contract to be our starter. I'm using that as a reference to what we would have likely paid Dalton.

Hurts, Geno, Cousins, Goff, Fields, Jones, and Wilson are ahead of Carr/Dak at this point
