True but Armstead is more important than Peat in this game. The Vikings pass rush is fierce.

I believe the offense is going to dink and dunk downfield and use Ingram and Kamara more out of the backfield throwing the ball. I don't see Minny playing a lot of man defense. Their safeties are very good in zone and I think we attempt to force them to make tackles in the open field against our backs while finding a way to get our line on their backers. Tight ends and receivers will have to block well and I see a lot of tight formations out of the ace and not a lot of wide spreads up front. Protect Brees and set up short passes to our playmakers to hopefully make guys miss in the open field for big gains.

Just my take. My opinion.

Agreed , Rhodes will obviously be with Thomas. Thomas won’t be shut down entirely but I expect him to be limited to 4-5 catches. Ginn and Coleman will be important in this game, they will have to come up with key grabs. Josh Hill and Snead need to step up and do there part.

I'm almost to the point to where I don't want Brees throwing to Coleman unless it's in the endzone.

#1 in Total Defense
#2 in Pass Defense
#2 in Run Defense
#1 in Scoring Defense

They held their opponents to 10 or less points in 6 of their final 7 games. That includes holding the #1 scoring offense in the NFL (Rams) to 7 points.

In short, they are the best defense in the league. And they do it without forcing a ton of turnovers. They are 23rd in total takeaways.

The game is strength on strength -- Saints #2 offense vs. Vikings #1 defense. The question will be can the opportunistic Saints defense force some turnovers out of a solid, but not spectacular Vikings' offense?

Yeah, we are gonna need stellar special teams play imo.

Ya on the right road. I think they have 1 loss at home and that was 3.5months ago

I'm trying to spin this into a positive. Atlanta, which I don't think is a great defense held the Rams to 13 this past weekend.

Atlanta was 9th in total defense and 8th in scoring defense. In fact, it was their defense that has carried them in a season where the offense has sputtered at times.

Here's your positive spin though: Carolina was #7 in total defense and the Saints put up 30+ on them in 3 separate games. Also, the Vikings played in a pretty weak offensive division outside of Detroit.

This is basically a repeat of the 2013 Saints v. Seahawks game. This one is indoors though, so hopefully we see a different result.

Do not compare the Panthers D to what we’re about to see. That is a joke

And they played the offensive “juggernauts” of the AFC North. (Pittsburgh actually is)

Minnesota is the biggest threat in the NFC. Might as well get them out of the way this weekend.

Hoping we find something on film to exploit.

They had the last ranked defense in the league the last 5 weeks of the season and their secondary is bad, is that good enough for you Timothy?

You have a link to that?

They also played Brees, the Vikings, Rodgers, Ryan, and Winston the past 5 weeks of the season. That's as good as it gets

They forced 11 turnovers in the past 5 weeks of the season...

I'm not saying that they are better than minny, because they aren't, but that was a very solid defense.
