His best punt downed on the 5 was called back due to penalty

Gilliken is first, too Wonderful.

Although his net is 3rd worst

That's insane to have the highest punt average and the 3rd lowest net average.

We are supposed to just tell ourselves that lou's field goal holding is of a hall of fame type caliber.

He's also #2 in actual punts.

Poor dude's leg is getting tired.

Even old Morestead is 13th.

Well the Saints are 50% on their rookie kicker gambles.

Even considering the missed game winner IMO Grupe is going to be a solid PK for the team. He seems to have the most important quality of a great kicker.

A short memory.

He is top 3 in pinning someone inside the 20. He definitely doesn't have the booming leg, but no one returns shite on him. I think the Saints prioritize the no return over the booming punts.

Also has top 3 in inside top 20, which is why I think we kept him anyway Gillikin has 0

Our punter that has the third fewest yards per punt has punted more than anyone in the league save one guy. Doesn't seem like a great combination.

Tell me you didn’t read my post at all. I wasn’t talking about punting in the slightest

Rizzi talked about it when they made the decision, a lot of teams are going to the Australian Rugby style punter. If you get to the same number and there are other positives from the rugby style, it's an improvement

Plus, the way it comes off his foot will probably result in a botched fair catch and recovery for us somewhere down the line. shite, it happened yesterday but it went out of bounds.

Which should have been a penalty because Peppers intentionally pushed it out of bounds. Doesn't affect anything, just pointing it out.

He’s also third in the nfl in punts downed inside the 20. That means our offense is stalling a lot around midfield but our punter is doing a very good job.

I’m not really understanding the complaints and I think some of y’all need to read all of the stats to get the full picture. If you’re punting from around midfield a lot, your net and average will be lower.

Funny you're calling that missed kick a game winner...

We still let Love right down the field for the real game winner if Grupe makes that kick.

Because DA "safe" defense means no Saints' lead is safe.
