Lol, If he holds out, Rattler is gunna start.
I dont think he has any hand here. Sounds like him and his agent are really stepping on their own member.

Are they really? He has not missed a single day at the facility and can continue to do so until TC starts on 7/22. His “holdout” is having no effect on his development. Now he starts missing TC next month, and he’s quickly falling behind with his reps

Jayden Higgens got a fully guaranteed contract in the 2nd round yesterday, Texans blinked.

I believe there are still maybe 29-30 2nd rounders unsigned

Dominos may fall now though

I thought Higgens was the first to sign, which "forced" Cleveland to give Schwesinger a fully guaranteed deal.

A lot of rookie training camp dates are starting this week, would expect a few more teams to blink now. Tre Harris & Chargers are officially on hold out status. His deal could be a major deal for the rest of the 2nd rounders. If he goes fully guaranteed, would be difficult for teams to argue against giving picks 35 - 54 guaranteed deals. Then you only have 10 more spots in the 2nd to deal with.

IMO, if the entire 2nd round gets a fully guaranteed deal this year, this will bleed over to the 3rd round next year

Someone like Shough undoubtedly has the most pressure.

He really cannot afford to miss camp

Considering our investment we can’t afford him to miss either.

How many phone calls has the Texican owner and GM gotten from owners?

I don't think it will last. All these 2nd rounders have little leverage especially Shough. Ratt would be happy to be gifted the starter.
lol

Higgins Agrees

He actually agreed to the deal way back on May 8th. Texans been blank blunk on the 34th pick.

That forced Cleveland to follow suit with the 33rd pick. Cleveland did not start this shite show.

The news is "rebreaking" because he just officially signed it, but this is not a new happening.

Seattle, thankfully, has been holding very strong on the 35th pick. They are trying to save this shite show from continuing.

Dude that believes anything this OP says. The jokes write themselves with this board.

Saints QB Tyler Shough is "insisting on a fully guaranteed contract," CBS Sports reported, because he is expected to be the team's starting quarterback, but he doesn't seem to be alone in making that demand

All second round picks want fully guaranteed money this year after what the Texans did, Shough thinks he should get it regardless since he thinks he will be starting.

So do tell where exactly the OP was wrong?

Big difference between guaranteed money and guaranteed STARTER money.

His slot value is $10.8mm, over 4 years

Average starting QB money is roughly $235mm in total money

The “starter money” line is a lie.

Isn't the entire 2nd round unsigned at this point?

All because the Texans decided to do something stupid and now all of these rookies, agents, and probably the NFLPA are fighting to get the precedent set that 2nd round contracts should be fully guaranteed
