He is selling out a good guy for hot take on a TV show (that sucks royally)

Saying a man who came from a different perspective should retire? That because he said what was in his heart was his real stance and his apology means nothing? That black people in the locker room will never treat him the same. What an absolute jackass. Racist pig. He's the racist. There's no redemption in this no unity no grace no come together. These self aggrandizing morons propaganda artist spew out their garbage to ruin a good mans name. Drew you should have never apologized.

This coming from rich and famous black men who have success and have been extremely prosperous from their hard work and hard work of others who spend their money to support their profession.

This is hate and GREED !
This is so unbelievably disgusting.

Drew messes up, he let a self serving reporter pull a quote from him all the while knowing what Drew’s stance was from the very beginning. The reporter ran to social media giving very little context as to how Drew’s statement DID NOT tie into the murder of George Floyd. He was duped and once the word was out, there was no turning back. Drew was set up in my eyes.

Nope. It’s like an injured calf to a lion. They pounce on the weakness.

That second apology video was a terrible idea. I get the first apology, because he has to make sure he doesn’t lose this locker room. That second? Unnecessary and groveling.

Now sharpe is showing exactly what happens. These racist fricks don’t care about apologies. They want blood and they will get it.

Why watch his crap? I haven't watched anything on ESPN/sec network/Fox sport networks except live sports in 5 years, and I don't regret it.

That quote wasn’t pulled and Drew wasn’t duped. Drew was asked a direct question and gave an uninterrupted answer. Drew should have prepared for questions about race, protest etc. He set himself up by taking that interview and not being prepared to answer questions related to what’s going on.

Always has been and eager to jump on any bandwagon so he doesn't have to form original thought>

Drew answered the exact question that he was asked. Which was related to kneeling during the anthem again. The reporter knew what happened and the story lines that are dominating the news waves. He knew exactly what would happen with presenting Drew’s quote in the manner that is was given.

Agree but fuked up withthe apology. Being a patriot has nothing to do with racism. If anything it favors the opposite because of all the black men and women who fought for our country

It's completely obvious Brees is not a racist.

He said in fist statement he supported civil rights struggle by standing for the flag. He disagreed with the approach to protest. Not the protest itself.

Colin Kap is a race baiting hustler to keep making money for an fake agenda. He is a moron and pawn like all these elitist thugs. They don't have real freedom because the only way they feel free is to tell everyone else how to think and live.

It's madness of the mob.

Shannon Sharpe is also a creep and a piece of shite.

A woman claiming to be Sharpe's girlfriend, Michelle Bundy, filed for a restraining order against him on September 9, 2010, in an Atlanta court. Bundy accused Sharpe of sexual assault and threatening her life; according to legal documents obtained by SportsByBrooks, Bundy claimed she was forced to have sex with Sharpe and that Sharpe called and threatened her life, placed her under surveillance and would call to say he was watching her.

Shouldn't Drew have been aware of the current volatility and been prepared for the question and answered in a better way? There was nothing wrong with the question. The answer opened Drew up to criticisms from those with differing agendas. He was either unprepared or thought that was the right answer, which it clearly wasn't.

Except he was on a finance show talking about business, not football, politics, or protests.

He did and said not 1 thing wrong. He was right to voice his beliefs. He spoke specifically about what it means to him personally, and to be honest, I feel the exact same way about the flag, anthem and kneeling that Drew voiced. The flag and anthem are very very personal to me. My whole family has served in the military. Grandparents, dad, uncles, myself, several cousins, all had the privilege to serve. It is special to me.

For someone to one day come along and hijack that from Americans is bullshite. Its not his to take. It belongs to all of us. If you have an issue, protest, do what you want to bring attention within the confines of the law. But you taking down an institurtional unifying symbol, like the flag and anthem, because you have a problem with a particular issue is not going to get people to rally to your cause. Instead you will get the worst reactions by complicating your issue with institutional patriotism. Keep them separate, and this isn't a problem. You made it a problem by attaching your cause negatively saying these patriotic symbols don't mean anything to you because of your cause. You tied them together. Drew Brees is a man pure of heart. Suggesting otherwise instantly destroys your credibility to be taken seriously on any other subject.

He should have stood his ground. If you apologize, they will never let up. They think Drew is their bitch now. People will be calling him a racist the rest of his life regardless. Never give in to the mob. NEVER

Good point, that got lost in the shuffle. Media like this are the devil, just stirring up a story and the narrative they want.

This phrase needs to go away, and call them exactly what they are. They're racists, plain and simple. Their dialogue is what separates people by the color of their skin, not mine.
