People said that dude robbed Pat Swilling, though.

New Orleans is a garbage hole.

Sounds like a dumb/convenient rumor that everyone will believe here

Was crime a factor? Well, on numerous occasions, he was followed & had to call police before making a turn for his home. He used to stop at an uptown watering hole, but that had to end. When it reaches the point you cannot step out for a meal or cocktail and not feel safe, you have to make a decision. That is what he did.
He will be back in the NFL pretty soon unless he really like the broadcasting gig. I just think he is to competitive to stay in the booth.

I don't know any inside information about any of this, but, I think that we can infer some things and use logic.
Let's assume that Jerry Jones wants SP in the bullpen to be available IF Mike McCarthy is fired in a year or two. OK, fine. Now, we know that Dallas is a huge city that can cater to a super-wealthy sports celebrity by providing a very swanky neighborhood in which to reside. That neighborhood for the wealthy will be like living in a gilded palace guarded by private security. Jerry Jones can help SP reside in a place like that.
We all know that SP's daughter Megan wants to work in media for the NFL or for a franchise. Dallas is a huge media market. What better way to help your beloved daughter than by "snuggling-up" to Jerry Jones? Jones can give the kid a good job with the Cowboys IMMEDIATELY. Then the kid can get some experience and be the next Erin Andrews or whomever.
Then we come to SP's wife. Where is she from? West Virginia? Which area's culture is more similar to the culture of West Virginia: Dallas or New Orleans? I'll wait while you take a few minutes to decide which city would be a place that Mrs. Payton would like to grow old in.
Mrs. Payton, who grew up in West Virginia, which is not an Urban Culture Place, has a Nursing background. Which city has a larger, more robust and more sophisticated medical and healthcare community, Dallas or New Orleans?
In which city would Coach Sean Payton's grandchildren grow up in a more vibrant and more safe environment, Dallas or New Orleans?
Which city has better access to the air travel network in the form of fewer connecting flights and other factors, Dallas or New Orleans?
Which city has an NFL franchise that is less likely to be sold and moved after the current elderly owner dies, Dallas or New Orleans?
Folks, take a look at a map of the location where Mrs. Payton is from and went to high school - Petersburg, West Virginia. That is deep in WV mountain country, straight-up hillbilly country. Would a pretty girl from there be more likely to feel comfy working and living in Dallas or New Orleans?

I know one of her good friends was robbed and beaten outside her Garden District home a couple of years ago so if the rumors are accurate I’m sure this played a part.

Do you really think she cares what team she’s getting her money from
She can fly anywhere she wants

That bitch didn’t have to live in New Orleans. She could have been in a million dollar house on the Northshore

Anyone with that mindset can get fricked…..there is crime in BR, but no one in the suburbs or Ascension or Denham is worried about that shite.
It’s a fricking cop-out excuse and Sean should be ashamed to have that be even considered a reason to give up.
Do you think people in gentrified areas of other big cities don’t have to worry about buying houses in areas of the city that used to be majority poor?
