No he didn’t say he was retiring. But it was all bullshite reasoning that he gave and less than a year after he is looking to get right back into coaching. But he wants to do it on his terms with a ready made team and an easy way to success.

Seriously. Payton is garbage when it comes to quarterbacks. He got lucky as frick that Miami doctors were dumb. If he was so enamored with Mahomes then you make damn fricking sure you get him.

Exactly. My paw paw went to his grave never seeing them win a Super Bowl and that really kills me. We should all be grateful forever. However, you’re kidding yourself if you don’t see how bad Payton and Brees underachieved for the next decade. Especially CSP. His Arrogant prick self figured we didn’t need a defense and Brees was greedy plain and simple. The Saints should’ve won it all in 2011 & 2017 at bare minimum. Don’t blame the refs for one play in a 60 minute game.

My concern is that he will stay as an analyst or go into the booth until he's clear of his obligations to the Saints. Then we get absolutely NOTHING. That'd be a real bitch move.

True, however 2-3 of the years we had the best shot, the saints were blatantly fricked by the Referees/NFL.
Pretty sure the year they were f’d in the Rams game they would have won it all had it not been for the refs. The Saints had some good years that the refs totally screwed for them, and it’s not even debatable.
