They broke up. They are no longer dating.

Is there a point you are trying to make?

Meh. No CSP no Super Bowl Championship. He gets a lifetime pass from me. NOLA is a shite hole, I'd want out too.

He probably wanted everyone to also say, “look how far the saints have fallen now that he’s gone” too

I’m legit asking what the punishment would have been if he was still the coach.

Why does he have to stay in New Orleans?

Miami got punished for what they did via contact. CSP got punished I quess you could say by looking like a arse for said contact and not being able to coach for 3 years via Saints holding his contract.

Anything else is fantasy what ifs.

he lived in a big fricking house in the sanctuary in mandeville for quite awhile and then chose to live back uptown. there are a multitude of places he could live without having to deal with Orleans Parish bullshite and still coach the Saints.

Sean has one big issue. The Saints own his contract rights. I suspect this is why he is coming out and saying this now.

Does he still have to go to the city to work? Yes. If I have his money, frick this city. You can live anywhere and do anything, you choose here? Be honest. Hell, he can pretty much pick where he wants to coach. Why on Earth would he pick here?

Nola fricking sucks, and I spent years defending it here.

Heard a clip yesterday of him on a podcast about how he’s definitely coming back to coach. “I want to find the right team and right situation, blah blah blah.” Dude straight up lied in his “retirement” speech. He knew damn well he was going to get right back into coaching

Didn’t he pretty much say this in his original announcement, and specifically said it wasn’t a “retirement”? It’s weird how bitter some of you whiny little bitches are over someone deciding to leave a job after an almost unprecedented length of tenure.

You defended it because it actually used to be a nice place to visit on the weekend, it’s progressively gotten worse and there’s a reason for that. You get what you vote for

I hope he goes back to coaching next year. I predict Chargers will give us their first which might make up for the top 5 pick we are giving Philly. Payton wants to work with Herbert and be in L.A.

i'm not really arguing any of this, but he's pretty fricking likely to choose to go coach in Los Angeles which isn't much better.

I mean he’s the typical rich democrat, Nola is a liberals utopia but of course he doesn’t want to live there with his family.

i dont think its a written agreement anywhere, but its going to be a PR nightmare for the team if he doesnt live in the town that has the team he is coaching.

im betting if its not written into his contract, it was still an agreed upon criteria to be the coach

Most of the players don’t live in New Orleans. What is even being discussed here?

No, him still being here wouldn’t save our problems, and may even just prolong them if he stuck around. But frick that dude

Don’t disagree. But the simple fact is the one positive thing we may have to look forward to in the offseason is trading his rights for some picks.
