Jameis’ 1 year does not affect that.

Drew could/likely will be retired by 2021.

Taysom’s 8 mill in 2021 is still nothing to cry about.

You shite your pants for nothing.

Dont make me agree with you Vagyno.

Yup, there’s too much smoke to think they arent considering it.

All coaches want a competition. These boys are going to fight to replace Drew.

Jameis is signed to a 1 year. We dont know who our actual QB will be.

But if we say, payed/resigned Jameis and paid Hill that would be what 25 mill dedicated to QB position? Who cares thats par for the course.

Your still shitting your pants for no reason.

Probowl qb’s are getting 30 mill not including their backup.

Stfu already.

more like 35-38M

we will have to pay jameis that level while also paying Hill $8M

OK so now you’re saying Jameis Winston is going to get re-signed for 25 million a year??

Now Im really going to call you an a-hole.

Teddy started 5 games, went 5-0, and got 20 per year.

Only way Winston gets that type of money is it brees is hurt for the whole season and Winston has a pro bowl year.

If he’s on the bench for the whole season and signs a prove a deal it will be for no more than 10 to 15 mill.

i'm hoping jameis shows he's worth being our starting QB, which will mean a salary almost assuredly above 25M/year

if not, then we're going to have hil at QB, apparently, and we'll punt 2021 with a cheap QB

Jameis is in another universe of proven NFL production than Teddy Bridgewater...without the injury worries

Teddy B wasn't even a great QB for us last year with more than a full year in the program. he's a limited, game manager at best

Way to deflect some more.

Jameis is not getting more than Teddy unless he plays well in replacement of Brees. He is not getting 25 mill. He wouldve gotten it this offseason if so. Wtf?????

Sfp you forget that THIS offseason Teddy signed with Carolina at 20 mill a year???

Andd Jameis signed with us for cheap???

Jameis isnt Teddy’s worth at this otherwise he would be signed and given a starting job.

And that wont change in one year on the bench.

If we resign Jameis to play over Taysom it’ll be a short term prove it deal for LESS than Teddy’s easily.

It wont be 20 mill or more and I doubt we pay QB’s anything close to your estimate of 35 mill in 2021 if Brees retires.

Like I said, if we signed Jameis, it’d be more like 25 mill tops for Jamies and Taysom.

Sfp logic:

(1) jameis winston cant find a job and is forced to sign for a backup job - picks the Saints on a 1.1 mill 1 year contract in 2020.

(2) next year is a 25 million a year plus QB in 2021.

Why am I not surprised.

I don't think this is correct.

There is a ton of pro football tape on JW.

And say Winston handles all his business with the Saints and the fans the right way. Looks good in camp/preseason, plays well in relief of Brees and is lauded by coaches and players all season for his demeanor and his play.

I believe his low end would start at 20 mil. Large guaranteed money probably not yet.
