He's TOO. GOOD. TO. PASS. UP.

HE. IS. SORRY. FOR. WHAT. HE. DID. IN. 2014.

Get this guy in black and gold. We will not regret it. Especially with leaders like Drew, Snead, and Ingram in the locker room to let him know that shite doesn't fly anymore

No, he's not. I wish this shite would end. He's a great value pick as a mid-rounder but he's not the best RB in the draft.

If you were objective, you would see he's the best RB in the draft.

The tape says it.

The pass catching ability says it.

The workouts say it.

The measurables say it.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in thinking this. Mixon's tape is ridiculous

I don't think he is the best RB in this draft, I like LF and CM better, but I think he a first round talent that can be had in the 2nd or 3rd.

LF could be a monster if he gets drafted by the right team, but it has to be the right team because his game is pretty one dimensional and he needs an oline that can win despite that. If he has a few steps and some room, he is one of the best of all time. I don't think our team is that team obviously.

Mixon has the sec vs pac 12 defense argument on his side against Mccaffrey. I'd take Mixon over them if we were talking straight football; his ball skills are unbelievable for a guy with his running style to complement it. However, I think for any guy to deck a girl the way he did; regardless of remorse or 2nd chance which he is entitled to, there's got to be something off upstairs to even get to that point. That is what worries me if we are investing a serious asset in him. It just shows he has the ability to take off that governor so to speak.

If the 32 don't have the fix in for not drafting him he is going to go before the end of the 2nd round I would think.

Going to be fun to watch.

I was told by a Saints assistant that the Saints have the RB position ranked in this order:

1. Perine
2. Mixon
3. Cook
4. Fournette

Not naming the Saints coach. He is a personal friend of mine and I would never betray his trust. Believe me if you want, but that is how the Saints braintrust have them ranked.

Two things:

1. That explains a lot, like why the Saints consistently have such poor drafts and have only been to the Super Bowl once in 51 years.

2. Your friend needs to find work in another profession.

He doesn't have the speed Fournette does, but I wouldn't completely dismiss Perine. His stats are VERY similar to Fournette's.

If we could get him in the third round it would be a steal. He's a very hard runner and can catch the ball (more in the traditional back role).

It does seem crazy to have him first, but he is very under the radar for reasons I can't understand.

Matt Miller says we have him graded as a 2nd rounder

quote:

—Many NFL teams are digging in hard on running back Joe Mixon of Oklahoma right now. Tony Pauline reported that one such team is the Cincinnati Bengals. I'm also hearing from scouts around the league that the New Orleans Saints like Mixon as a Round 2 candidate.

I like Perine and I'd be happy with him in round 3. but to say he's better than Fournette, who he says is ranked 4th!, is nuts. Like I said, if his info is legit it says a lot about the Saints scouting dept.
