If we get either A) production from a WR on our roster or B) draft a great receiver we may average 38 points/game

Saints finally have three legit receiving threats again.

1. Thomas
2. Kamara
3. Cook

After that we still have Ginn, Smith, and Meredith. I really like Ginn but he is a deep threat and is getting older. Would love to add Dez Bryant as a final piece to add to our goal line threats. This team is shaping up to be better in 2019 than in 2020.

Awesome times Saints fans.

So these are the same numbers that came out a week ago.

It's been done and everyone who said he was going to new England and that his agent was pushing for more money were wrong

He flexes into to the slot and even out wide a lot so he can be more of a help at receiver than some think. Either way i know mike is happy.

Who cares. Even with incentives he can earn up to $19m over two seasons, more than fair value

I thought it was a little silly all the celebrations in the locker room after wins last year but it seems like the culture in the locker room is something that really good players really want to be a part of. They are even willing to take a little less money to be apart of it. Like Bridgewater said "the saints made football fun again!"

That's the cash and not the cap though.

More likely he got something like a $4-6 mil signing bonus with $2-4 mil base salary guaranteed year one, so that would be a $5-6 mil cap hit (with the other $2-3 mil guaranteed hitting next year because of the bonus spread).

Essentially a 1 year, $8 mil deal with a second year option, but a softer year one hit because of the spread.

Says the guy who traded away Khalil Mack

thats not a negative, he got rid of a disgruntled player who was a locker room distraction and a selfish "im the star of this team" guy and got 3 1st round picks for him.

im not a fan of gruden coaching but that deal was huge to give him a lot of desperately needed draft picks to rebuild that team.

if you "only" look at what mack did last year you can say man hes a great player, why would anyone trade that guy, but the price was right and i cant say gruden made a mistake at all for doing the deal

Not to mention resigning Mack would have very much hampered his ability to rebuild the team the way he wanted too.

And there is little doubt he came in to blow it up and rebuild, not try to make what they had work. I'd be surprised if in 2 more years they have any players left that he inherited.

They want the team to be rolling by the time they move to Vegas. They already said frick Oakland before that.

Personally though, if I was coaching Oakland I would have tried to find a way to keep him and build around him.

If he can stay healthy, Drew can make him an All-Pro TE. Another feather in the front office cap !
Welcome aboard Jared, gonna be a great year !
