Still don't get why we would trade for a player rather than sign the one that's available. You are more than welcome to argue that Jimmy is a better player than Jameis, but it's far from obvious that we would be appreciably better off with him under center than with Jameis, and we wouldn't have to give up a notable player to get Jameis.
This was my argument in the other thread if Winston wants 15-20 a year. Why not sign Teddy B or Trubisky for half that amount and keep our young safety who’s one of the best in the league instead of creating another hole….
So now we will give up draft picks and what is likely a good player the 9ers want along with not being able to afford Williams.
Creating more holes on the roster for minimal upgrade at qb….

49ers are full of shite. They keep mentioning picks and player assets for a bum arse QB with a huge salary they are trying to get rid of because he sucks. The fact they are claiming a bidding war is going on is laughable.

The article says we will receive draft picks plus Jimmy G for a notable player

Teams get stupid when it comes to QBs. Redskins just gave up two 3rds for Wentz who sucks as much as Jimmy G….
You saw what Denver just gave up for Wilson.

Why would you post this garbage?

Roby is good as gone. We can restructure enough contracts to get us over the cap and around $25-30 million to re-sign our own people and get free agents. They can get Williams, Armstead and Winston but they wouldn’t have much more than $6-7 million to sign anyone else.

Payton and Jimmy both EIU alum. Me too. I’m not a fan of Jimmy though. Romo would’ve been cool in saints.

How do you even find an account with less than 500 followers?

I am not in love with the Jimmy G idea but the picks could be good. Just depends on the player we have to give up.

Jimmy is soft. No chest.
Please God No

9ers fans are pretty delusional. Think they are getting picks and Lattimore? Lol.
If that happened, I would be turning in my 30 years of fandom. That's just gross incompetence.

In an article about Washington's trade for Wentz, a few things about Jimmy G
two 3rd round pics
quote:
their choice came down to choosing between Wentz, Watson, Garoppolo and Trubisky, it's hard to knock giving up two third-round picks for arguably the lowest-risk option.
quote:
Garoppolo just had shoulder surgery on his throwing shoulder, which leaves some doubt as to whether he'd even be healthy enough to start the 2022 season.
quote:
Both Watson and Garoppolo would likely have cost the Commanders more than what they paid for Wentz, too.
