Notable player you say ... gotta be someone on a Rookie contract, as all of our notable players have huge cap hits if traded.
I could get behind a Ruiz - Jimmy G swap.

Latt saves $14M
Cam saves $1.7M
AK saves $5.5M
Tayson - $3.4M
(troll Payton by sending Steve Young 2.0 to SF)
Davenport saves $8.4M
There are others that would save against the cap, but not really "notable"
Onyemata - $3.8M
Malcolm - $3.8M
Roby - $9.5M

Jimmy G is the best of the available options
Although that’s not saying much

As long as it isn’t Bridgewater, I’m good

9ers fans are pretty delusional. Think they are getting picks and Lattimore? Lol.
An oft injured mediocre qb on the last year of his deal that the 9ers are not resigning. Why are we even looking at trading assets for him?

I’m good, if Notable player = Peat, picks = 5th & 6th rounders

I’d rather resign Winston.
With Rogers and Wilson off the table, unless we can trade for Carr, we just need to sign Winston and be done at QB.

Did read somewhere that Jimmy G or Jimmy G's agent have acknowledged that they are working out details of an extension with multiple teams. Assuming this means JG agreeing to an extension would be a requirement for the trade

The tweet insinuates Jimmy G and picks to the Saints for a Saints player

Still don't get why we would trade for a player rather than sign the one that's available. You are more than welcome to argue that Jimmy is a better player than Jameis, but it's far from obvious that we would be appreciably better off with him under center than with Jameis, and we wouldn't have to give up a notable player to get Jameis.
