theres no way we lose MW, Ceedy, and Paulson Adebo in the same cycle.

Ceedy, Adebo,

Serious issue with moving these two and a bunch of picks. A price controlled CB and an absolute game changer of a defensive player on a low contract.

Everyone think we have to give up 3 firsts and multiple stars like the Texans have leverage.

They don’t. I could see 3 firsts, 2 thirds, ceedee, and Peat. If Watson wants to come here, Houston isn’t gonna get nearly what they could’ve gotten 2 years ago

They have leverage, especially if Watson waives his No Trade for multiple teams.

He's under contract for several years. They could hold onto him until before Training Camp or even until next year if they want.

If Watson says "I'm good" with 2-3 teams then there is a bidding war.

I would have been pissed if he was traded and finally comes on and stays healthy.

I have a feeling the price for Watson may not be quite as steep as thought.

I have no idea if this is true or not.

But, it never made sense to me that the Texans could command that kind of return for Watson given:

* Watson's recent history and likelihood of punishment from the NFL
* Watson's no trade clause that gives him the power and incentive to limit the compensation heading back to Houston
* Houston's need to get Watson off the books given that they will not keep him at his salary

Honestly, if Watson played hard ball with the Texans, he'd end up being a free agent.

Ceedy would be the one that would concern me the most. You obviously move him for Watson, but this defense was very different with him out last season.

Can he and Thomas co-exist?

Why would Watson give up control? He's basically a free agent. The Texans aren't willing to pay him.

Demario and Kwon the best backers in the NFC and I’ll die on that hill.

TB has a pretty good duo too, but for what we ask our LB's both Demario and Kwon are perfect for our DEF sets.

In my opinion this move means the Saints know they aren’t getting Watson.
