I feel bad for Boston - thought he had earned a spot....and was looking forward to him catching the ball out of the backfield.

Hill is a solid special teams guy and our emergency 3rd string QB

Hill is an amazing asset.

He can pretty much be your career-long backup quarterback and can come in and run a completely different style of offense that no team has prepared for before and do it really well. That in itself almost guarantees the same level of winning, at least initially, as with your starting quarterback.

Oh, and he also plays amazing special teams and is a kick holder. He's basically an indispensable Swiss Army knife. Most backup quarterbacks do nothing but play basic quarterback and maybe hold on kicks.

And Sean Payton has OFTEN talked about the lack of RB depth in 2010 that basically cost them a playoff run, and that he never wanted to go through that again. Now we have 2 RBs. There is NO chance we are going through that. We will drop someone and add a RB.

I remember that and that’s the first thing I thought of, including the things Payton said about that situation.

I agree.
I feel strongly that Boston deserves to be here.

And you know what?
It's more than a feeling.

I'd say to start out Hill is likely the number 2 until Teddy learns the system a bit more.

That is a sound strategy.

Can you imagine freaking out because your team cut Boston Scott?

When Brees retires Teddy will be the starter and Hill the backup. That's why Hill is still around.

Bc I really care how the Potential 3rd string QB will fair this upcoming season

You know. One of the last few years Drew Brees is our Qb

Pretty silly considering we brought in guys like gillislee and Williams for nothing.

We are talking about Boston Scott. There are FAs you can dip into that offers what he does + some

200 players went before him in the draft. Has anything changed?

The only team I am worried about would be San Fran.
Most teams are set at RB.

Average RBs, or "niche" RBs are a dime a dozen. Easiest position to fill on the team. least amount of practice time required to "come up to speed".
