I think this is a good deal and they need to ride his arse. Give him 15-20+ carries every game. Robinson will be nice and add a Bush or Vereen and I'd be stoked.

Its a good deal for both sides. If he comes back craptastic, he's not killing us, if he's really good, we won big-time.
Guess interest in Forsett was a smokescreen.
We could sign another RB, or we could draft/UDFA one. I wouldnt be opposed to bringing Bush back, Ive always liked him, but I'd rather address other needs.

I'm not really angry, though. I grew up wi th the Saints making terrible personnel decisions, so I'm situated to handle it.

I see I'm way late to the party but some quick thoughts.
This is exactly how much I'd thought we'd offer him and feel it is a reasonable price.
All signs pointed to both sides wanting this and given what they were saying Ingram might get it looks like he took a bit of a discount because he really wanted to stay.
It seems like we might sign another PT type back, especially with the rumors about Bush and Forsett. So maybe that was less about Ingram and more about getting someone with a little more speed than PT.
And I'm sure no less than 20 heads already exploded.
