Saints maneuvered ourselves to the front of a significant Oline run to get the guy we liked the most.
No point doing anything but wait and see if it was the right guy… but I think the move deserves a little credit for jumping in front of a half dozen other teams who ended up taking oline. As someone who usually hates our trade ups, the timing on this one was nice.

The Saints certainly believe he will be a starter on the oline. I mean they cock blocked ever other team from getting him. Suck it kc

No, just the good ones and there are a lot of them in the NFL.

Yes, if the guy works his way into a prominent role, you have to give our braintrust credit for a great move.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing since there was a run on OL. We went to get our guy we think can help impact our lineup now without giving up too much at this point in the draft. We have certainly addressed our needs.

Jahri Evans, Terron Armstead, and Jermon Bushrod all turned out fine

If this means the end of Peat,

look, i'm all LSU, through and through, for my entire life, but Bradford is not that good... he has good measurables, but he wasn't very good at LSU, so not sure why there's really any reason to think he's going to be anything much in the NFL... came in very heralded, but never lived up to the hype, so i'm not surprised, nor let down, that the Saints didn't pick him, whether he played for LSU or not

dunno... this seems to be more of a notice to Ruiz, as Salvideri played primarily on the right side of the line

If you weren't an LSU fan these would look almost identical to you.

Newsflash bud, Bradford is a no name to anyone outside of LA.

Seattle had good lineman from LSU. LSU does produce quality in guard position.

Two of the best guards to ever play for the Saints played at small schools and were no name guys

Frankly I was surprised he was picked so high. I thought he under achieved at LSU. I would not be surprised the Old Dominion kid works hard and has a better NFL career. I could easily see that happening.
Let’s let it all play out. The Saints have been good at drafting OL.
Bradford will likely always have knife and fork issues. He's too fat now at 340 lbs much less when he let himself get to 380 lbs.

The Saints obviously had this guy identified as a diamond in the rough that they had their sights set on.

As a college football fan, I always look at kids from power 5 schools over kids from other schools. Am I wrong a lot? Yes I am. Team rosters prove that.

He might be better than Bradford, you didn’t watch 1 ODU game to know

Your dickhole sized brain will probably forget about it tomorrow so no need to check back in later

That actually makes sense. And I think the two guys both have lots of potential upside.

Drift beyond round 3 is a crapshoot even for the pros. 2 & 3 are even a bit dubious for those guys.

Bradford was a fat slob for 95% of his time at lsu and he put it together for the combine. Don’t be fooled. And I say that as someone who would have been fine drafting him.
Even as a fat slob he still has great feet. I like both players here.
Sometimes a pick comes down to system or what side that player will play. Teams have different philosophies. I feel like people on here forget the player has to fit your system.
