The Saints met virtually as a team today and spent the entire meeting discussing the last few days. QB Drew Brees addressed the team and apologized. I was told by one player "it got real in their discussions, it was emotional" Another player added "We love Drew through it all"

Whats next for the Saints?
One player said "Most guys know, Drew is a type to make it happen, not just say it. He is going to exceed expectations to ensure he gets this right."

@diannaESPN
Most common response I am getting tonight from the Saints “we want to keep all this in house”

Although I don't think he needs to apologize. And who knows if he really did. But I'm glad they are showing some sort of support finally.

The melt switching from yesterday to today is fantastic.

I mean I think it's a little late for that.

Yet their first reaction is to run to twitter and throw a hissy fit

The right-wing melts far more often than the left-wing.

Oh for sure. This is equally as melty as the players yesterday. Hypocrisy is alive and well on both sides of the aisle

Projection much? Your side is literally burning cities because they didn’t get their way.

I’m not sure how you can possibly justify your statement after what has been done to a truly great man like Brees for a pretty mild and innocuous comment.

It’s nice that everyone is on the same page. Drew did the right thing. The offended players did the right thing & acknowledge the effort

Nothing else really matters. Not Jamal Adams or lebron or hillbilly Saints fan
