Saints looking a 6-11 or 7-10 season and picking in the 7-12 range.

Nothing is a sure thing this season but I would expect to beat the Giants and Raiders. Could maybe steal one vs the Redskins or Bucs but that's not likely.

Based on the last few season, 6 to 7 wins gets you somewhere in the 7-12th pick range. After Sunday CB is fast rising up my board of needs. Also high on the list are DT and a legit #1 WR. IOL is still a major hole but obviously that doesn't grade out as a 1st round value.

Wish we could get high enough to get Travis Hunter

Better check with Coach Prime to see if he'll allow him to play for the Saints.

fter Sunday CB is fast rising up my board of needs. Also high on the list are DT and a legit #1 WR.

I would assume that takes Hunter & McMillian out of the running, but all other WRs should still be on board

If the positions are accurate on these mocks, looks like the only 1st round DTs coming off are the 2 from Michigan (Graham possible top 5 & Grant in back half of 1st), then Nolen from Ole Miss seeing going in the teens

Hunter is the only CB I am seeing consistently going top 10, most have Johnson from Michigan from top 10, but I saw a few with him in the 10-15 range. See Morrison from ND has fallen down to late teens due to hip injury, Saints lock???

Assuming a top 10 pick and no QB you like, I think you have to go DL, WR or CB . . . or trade down and take the best overall interior OL.

I like this idea because what the Saints need not is a lot of potential talent on rookie contracts. However I'm sure Mickey Loomis knows better.

I was just looking at our remaining schedule and that is exactly what I came up with.. even the draft position... What position the Saints will pick is anyone's guess... I quit trying to figure that out years ago...

I want a pass rusher (Abdul Carter, Nic Scourton, James Pearce. Jr. etc) in the 1st. I think Adebo, Kool-Aid and Taylor at nickel are fine, but they can’t hold coverage forever and our only rush is from Breese. I’m sick of letting QBs just sit in the pocket and pick us apart.

Pass rush is priority #1! LG, DT and #1WR are the next needs. We can probably address LG and a run stuffer later in the draft if we draft well.

I want DL 1, and then 2 and 3 are OL and DL in whatever order.

We need DE, DT, OG. I don't care which order for the DE/DT as long as we get starters.

Depending on who they keep in house for the scout team, I think I'd prefer they go DT with the first round and stick to finding passrush help through FA. Dline picks jst looking at the last few years

Boyd - 6th round 2024
Bresee - 1st 2023
Foskey - 2nd 2023
Jackson - 6th 2022
Turner - 1st 2021
Davenport - 1st 2018
Hendrickson - 3rd 2017
Muhammed - 6th 2017
Rankins - 1st 2016
Onyemata - 4th 2016

Their best DE picks are putting up stats for other teams

It was just the nickeback that kept getting beat. Corner play was fine.

Well we're keeping Loomis so no doubt we'll be bringing a big-name free agent and extending DC4 to facilitate that.

With Taysom gone not sure on beating either. Overusing Kamara when you just extended him is a horrible idea that will only get him injured as well.

We have to hope they lose out.

Makes no sense winning any more games.

It’s time to give Haener the chance he didnt get earlier this season.

Hate to break it to you but the Saints have to extend DC4 regardless because his contract gives them the biggest cap relief and there is no debate about having to be under the cap my the start of the league year in 2025.

At this point the Saints need to evaluate all personnel.

See what you have with the young players. Allow coaches, scouts, and administration positions to show management if they should be retained.

Everyone needs to justify their employment.

The draft position is fluid and knowing who you should draft by establishing team needs is more important than winning or losing an extra game.

100% agree.

Everyone in the building shares a responsibility in the product on the field. The first year coaches a little less of the overall experience but their product in 2024 should absolutely be scrutinized.

Saints fans are kinda smart and we have seen the lack of success in the draft in 90% of the drafts 2017 not withstanding. You should keep your job if you fail at a rate like the Saints scouting and scarring department. And also to the front office that has consistently supported them.
